Pat Buchanan Grumbles Out Some Truth About Fellow ’90s Has-Been Newt Gingrich

by Jack Stuef

Here’s Pat Buchanan talking about former House Speaker “Nude” Gingrich on this never-ending mosque bullshit non-issue. And he’s actually very right! Wow, there you go. A nice summary of the breadth of contemporary Republican political tactics. Looks like some pundits are more capable than a grilled cheese sandwich, even when they’re just residue somebody scraped from the crusty old remains of yesteryear. This man is like a grilled cheese sandwich WITH TOMATO!

But when somebody takes a different opinion from the way the wind is blowing, the media can only assume they are trying to shore up a base of their own for a PRESIDENTIAL RUN. OMG, you guys, Pat Buchanan is going to be the Reform Party president of Florida again! And this time he will maybe be too tired to go full-bigot!

Haha, no, just kidding. Pat Buchanan also thinks this Muslim community center is evil.

Safe travels, Magoo. [YouTube]

Flamboyant and Charismatic? He is for a fat ugly dimwitted opportunistic lying sack of sleaze.

chascates August 17, 2010 at 5:48 pm

The heir to George Lincoln Rockwell will create a spectacular third party, with lots of rallies and torchlit parades!

GOPCrusher August 17, 2010 at 5:48 pm

One things for sure, Pat is an expert on Nazis.

queeraselvis v 2.0 August 17, 2010 at 5:49 pm

Hypocritical sack of shit has-been, party of one? Your table is now available.

OhCrapIHaveACrushOnSarahPalin August 17, 2010 at 5:50 pm

Well, Unka Pat is right, Newt’s playing whose-is-bigger with Sarah. Not advised.

Ducksworthy August 17, 2010 at 5:52 pm

In other words they are both opportunistic lying assholes who don’t care who gets killed or if America fails as long as they get their money and fame? Quite the moral contest over there on the right. As is was and ever shall be.

Ducksworthy August 17, 2010 at 5:53 pm

[re=640575]chascates[/re]: Thank you. I thought of George Lincoln Rockwell earlier today, but not by name. Was he a leftist too?

SayItWithWookies August 17, 2010 at 5:57 pm

The Republicans are on a raft spinning around the center of a whirlpool. Just because one of the assholes points to true north for a moment doesn’t mean he’s right by anything more than pure chance. Especially when they’re jockeying around for media attention like they are now — hell, one of ‘em’s gotta be right every so often. They’re still going over the cliff, though.

DonkeyPants August 17, 2010 at 5:58 pm

What opening is this flamboyant “Nude” Gingrich moving into?

DustBowlBlues August 17, 2010 at 6:00 pm

MSNBC is thrilling in its left wing coverage. Hardball is that radio guy sitting alongside the same video of Blago leaving court. Pat would be better than this.

DP August 17, 2010 at 6:06 pm

Well finally, a perceptive and honest assessment of ‘Nude’ Gingrich from an utter douchebag.

Joshua Norton August 17, 2010 at 6:06 pm

Sometimes an unanswered question hangs heavily in the air, while history itself makes pause. Faint hearts yearn for a champion to step forward and fearlessly prick the despot’s glassy bubble of invulnerable hubris with a rhetorical épee. The very angels of liberty hold their breath.

Then there are the times when the very airwaves themselves are corrupted by a deluded fartsack with a microphone.

SeattleJoe August 17, 2010 at 6:13 pm

It was Norman Rockwell who was the ruthless Marxist infiltrator undermining the souls of middle america with his mind numbing crap. His paintings were tested first on prisoners in the gulag as instruments of torture. Eventually the experimental subjects were put out of their misery with a shot to the back of the head.

George Lincoln Rockwell was the host of “The Price is Right” from 1957 to 1856, when he ran for president as the Nazi Party candidate. He didn’t win many votes because it was felt that he lowered the tone of the natonal conversation by his simple existence.

Suds McKenzie August 17, 2010 at 6:16 pm

Ohh, who cares what he is saying,.. ever, really.

Its ALL about the Pat Buchanan Hand Chop!

weejee August 17, 2010 at 6:21 pm

Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It’s no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history. –Pat Robertson

I’ve peed in my pants and am about to rapture now that Pat has seen the light of moderation.

DC Hates Me August 17, 2010 at 6:26 pm

Newt is hot! Hot hot heat! Newt is burning up the discussions on the internets. Is that wrong to be as hot as The Newt? Red hot burning Newt Gingrich man, yeah.

JSDC007 August 17, 2010 at 6:27 pm

[re=640628]weejee[/re]: The day I see a giant evangelical MegaChurch in the South burned down by a bunch of gay gymboys, I’ll believe Pat Robertson.

Baby who ate the Dingo August 17, 2010 at 6:31 pm

Ah, George Lincoln Rockwell, pride of Arlington County, Virginia. Another right-wing nut job haven, if you ask me.

Aflac Shrugged August 17, 2010 at 6:48 pm

Look, Newt. The ’90′s were okay, and you had a good run as…well, you were Speaker of the House, anyway. But there is no way that any Republican Party will ever again prefer your tits to Sarah’s. Hate to be the one that has to break it to you.

Baby who ate the Dingo August 17, 2010 at 6:50 pm

[re=640643]Baby who ate the Dingo[/re]: And his former World Headquarters is now a skateboard park where stoners, uhh, get stoned then stone their heads on the concrete. So I’ve heard.

June Cleaver 2.0 August 17, 2010 at 6:56 pm

[re=640586]Ducksworthy[/re]: Someone should show the teabaggers the difference between George Lincoln Rockwell and Norman Rockwell, and which guy they don’t get a right to claim.

Airborne Toxic Event August 17, 2010 at 6:57 pm

Pat Buchanan and Rand Paul are both right about something on the same day? Fuck me

Rotundo August 17, 2010 at 7:05 pm

[re=640571]ManchuCandidate[/re]: And isn’t that the standard to which the Newtster is being held? More intellectual than Palin, more mainstream religious than Mittens, more political than Huck, he is the shining white light of the Republican party. He is their great white dope. Okay, Paul Ryan with his gut medicare and Social Security, and eliminate taxes for the wealthy plan, might be a contender, but Newty is the alpha pup of this litter. Newt is back people, Newt is back and ready for his closeup.

plowman August 17, 2010 at 7:14 pm

As long as Nude Gingrich is taking the heat then Alan Keyes has got a chance though it’s widely agreed he’s a very dark horse…

Accordion-o-rama August 17, 2010 at 7:48 pm

But when somebody takes a different opinion from the way the wind is blowing, the media can only assume they are trying to shore up a base of their own for a PRESIDENTIAL RUN.

But if that run is merely a heave-to the right over the aft yardarm, beaching the ship of state in the poop deck, it might be best to clew out, luff to the wind and trim the spinnaker or we’ll all be truly fo’c'sled.

BarackMyWorld August 17, 2010 at 8:17 pm

Congratulations to Buchanan for breaking this one wide open, since total stupidity of Gingrich this issue is beyond my capacity to rationalize.

Can O Whoopass August 17, 2010 at 8:30 pm

Pat Buchanan also thinks ketchup is a vegetable and tampons are girl “band-aids”. His personal transportation to “work” is a small graf zepplin and he complains at the coffee shop, “Ah, what’s goin’ on wid duh coffee prices… Ah ‘member paying 10 cents a cup… in 1982 when Reagan was President.”

Capitol Hillbilly August 17, 2010 at 9:06 pm

More flambouyant = “a bigger queer”.
Mission accomplished, Newtie.

madirishman August 17, 2010 at 9:06 pm

I remember Buchanan’s evil, hate-filled rhetoric at the 1992 Republican National Convention. “There is a holy war going on for the soul of this country!” Yeah, Pat, and you were firing up the burning crosses! The Repubs ate it up like ice cream. It was the closest thing I’d ever seen to a Nazi rally, and it chilled me to the bone. When will this god-awful racist wind-bag ever go away?

Infrogmation August 17, 2010 at 9:16 pm

Pat Buchanan is perhaps the last of the Nixonites. Which means he is generally an odious venal sack of manure, but will on occasion sound startlingly reasonable compared to the current Republican Right.

lawrenceofthedesert August 17, 2010 at 9:50 pm

Pat was Atwater before Lee was and worshipped at the feet of The Felon Nixon, GOP Prince of Darkness. Unlike the ego blimp Newt, who remains Baby the King, Buchanan represents what is evil by design on the right — a Cheney to Newt’s Bush. Character assassins like Paddy worked all too well in the days when Americans looked for a commie in every closet, but the current attempt at hysteria generation — that Mexicans will stream across America like lemmings and take over — is weak, weak stuff compared to the Willie Horton glory days. “Running on Empty” could be the new Repub theme song, except that it’s a 40 year-old song written by a liberal, and these sad, tired commentaries remind one of ancient Pearl Harbor vets rehashing the Big One in a VFW bar: it must have been very, very important once.

Thank goodness that 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus, 200,000 Guatemalan Maya and untold numbers of WWII-era European fags, Gypsies and retards can take posthumous comfort in the wholesale slaughter of “minority” Christians in the US of A.

weejee August 17, 2010 at 10:47 pm

[re=640750]user-of-owls[/re]: Teh nightmare of Christians in the USA the two Pats speak of is incomprehensible. Our current crop of No-Nothings have it allover the Know-Nothings of the mid-nineteenth century. The earlier crop were just panicked by Irish and German Catholics. Many of those questionable papists, like the Opus Deis, are now part of the Kurrent Krop of Kristians that valiantly has to deal with Muslins, libtards and their theory of relativity, evilution, ghey marriage, and abortion all at the same time 24/7. Oh, and a darkie in the White House.

BTW, although our first peak to the Washington returns is 15 minutes away, we had several sonic booms from some F-15s breaking the sound barrier over C’Addle. Seems some addled float plane pilot strayed into Barry’s no-fly zone that was in effect cause he was here in town for Patty Murray.

La Cieca August 17, 2010 at 11:18 pm

I am delighted that I have had the honor of being present when a sobriquet was born. “Nude Gingrich” he is now and evermore!

Earlier today I stated Newt was hot. I’ve since been informed that Newt is a tired windbag. Sorry for this mixup. Mea bad.

Neoyorquino August 18, 2010 at 1:41 am

So Newt is going to out-Palin Palin? (Insert “never go full retard” joke here . . .).

Oh, this is just Buchanan complaining that he was a Nazi before Nazism was cool.

I wonder what Mika’s uncle says about this, you know, the one Pat Buchanan says is responsible for World War 2?

Does he blame Mika for the stuff even he thinks is crazy going on inside the GOP????

Did Mika let Pat Buchanan go with her to the secret Brezenski-Illuminati Summer Picnic that he’s wanted an invite to for the last 50 years?
(you know every conspiracy theorist just wishes that they were in on the conspiracy)

Who will answer these important questions?
