Black Republicans Make Movie To Tell Black People To Stop Being Slaves

by Jack Stuef

GET ON THIS MAN’S UNDERGROUND RAILROAD, BLACK PEOPLE! Haha, you guys are on a plantation still. WHAT? THAT IS NOT OFFENSIVE! You are slaves to statists, you see. And this man is allowed to say you are being enslaved by the Democrats because HE IS BLACK. So why don’t you watch this hip movie? Look, that man is running places! RUN! RUN! RUN! Stop criticizing tax cuts for the rich! RUN, GOD DAMNIT, YOU STUPID SLAVES!

It is pretty cool that this guy managed to round up ALL existent black Republicans for this film. It’s like a family reunion! They all seem to make a lot of sense, so Democrats should be very afraid.

Sure, it may seem like this pastor guy hasn’t talked to any actual black people in a while. But his plan to call them offensive names will surely make them want to join the Rand Paul RLOVEution. TAKE THAT, STATISTS.

Oh, and “civil rights,” among other things, is the answer to the first question of the second guy in the video.

Anyway, Team Sarah loves it!

Yes, how dare Obama use the name of that Lutheran?

As a tinted ethnic, I’ve never really liked the idea of bloc voting (based on the recommendation of various community leaders) and would prefer the individual to make up their mind on how they want to vote.

That being said, I don’t blame blacks for voting Demrat either. With supporting the rich, the catering to the White Southerner with race issues, the fuck all poor people thing, anti-affirmative action, etc the GOPers are lacking in a platform black folk might like.

All this black GOPer is telling me is that poor black people are much smarter than poor white people when it comes to voting for their interests.

SayItWithWookies July 30, 2010 at 5:04 pm

Great — that dandy saddle-shoe-wearing preacher is going to get all the black folks behind repealing the 13th Amendment so they can escape slavery. I’d say more, but the topography of rational thought just folded in on itself and won’t come out anymore.

Sharkey July 30, 2010 at 5:04 pm

Assuming they actually gave permission to use their song, NIN just went down a notch in my book. (Maybe.)

I have trouble believing Thomas N. Hubbard has a very dear friend who was with ‘Affirmtive Action’ or was upset about Obama mentioning ‘Martin Luthern King.’

Advocatus_Diaboli July 30, 2010 at 5:06 pm

voting against one’s one self-interest truly is racial transcendence.

memzilla July 30, 2010 at 5:07 pm

Humorously enough, when you’re tryin’ to rewrite history like this, it’s called a whitewash.

Noonan July 30, 2010 at 5:07 pm

Is the analogy any good? My hunch is the 13th amendment freed more slaves than those who ran away to their own freedom, but I dunno. History me, Wonketteers.

I had a “very dear friend” that was with Affirmative Action too. Then they changed drummers and went all technopop so he had to quit over the artistic differences. I had to downgrade him to only a “dear friend”. Later he wanted me to invest money in his solo album. I couldn’t get a clear accounting for the money, so I had to downgrade him to just “friend”. When the drug rumors started, I de-friended him. Anyway, he’s in a better place now (friendster.com).

Ducksworthy July 30, 2010 at 5:14 pm

So Karl Rove send his Alabama minions out to find him some negrows to refudiate Shirley Sherrod’s story of racial reconciliation. And I guess the party that derives its electoral power from its race baiting tactics would, naturally, have some black supporters. It’s not really about race, its about voting for your economic interests. I wish Obama would do a better job esplaining that to the poor deluded whites but maybe he should tell Biden to do that. He speaks their language.

Noonan July 30, 2010 at 5:14 pm

[re=629460]Noonan[/re]: The 13th amendment. As in government doing something good to fix something bad government had done.

Like government improving healthcare or government fixing a bad set of government rules governing the financial system – the sorta stuff he calls slavery now.

There is something noble about Republican attempts to win over black people. It always causes us to reflect on the essential tragedy and absurdity of human existence.

Keep trying, brave Republicans! Never say die! History will remember your doomed struggle as one of the top ten doomed struggles of all time! May your heroic offensiveness live forever in the hearts of white people and inspire them to further heroic feats of transcendental offensiveness!

Excelsior!

Right. The assumption in this StupidVid is that 95% of Black people vote Democratic because Al Sharpton thinks it’s a good idea and not because 95% of the Republican platform is antithetical to the issues Black voters care the most about.

So… black people shouldn’t vote for Democrats (the new slaveholders) but SHOULD vote for the party whose members call them n****rs (though it’s nearly always misspelled), want to repeal the 13th amendment, roam the border in packs of self-proclaimed neo-nazis to shoot people who look different and march on DC with white crosses, Klan style? All because the Dems couldn’t stop the Repugnants from passing tax breaks for the top tax brackets and throwing hissy fits to weaken social safety net programs intended to break the cycle of poverty?

I mean, sure, if you’re into lesbian bondage strip clubs…

american mutt July 30, 2010 at 6:54 pm

He’s confusing black liberation with conservative mumbo jumbo. Liberating our communities is a separate issue from the existence and abuse of government programs. If anything he should promote giving the middle finger to the welfare system while accepting the fact that it’s fair to have fallback element in society. Also, some of his platitudes are broad issues shared by people of any political orientation, but he seems too deluded to realize that. I don’t trust people who completely abandon one philosophy for another. To go from a NAACP member to some preachy conservative is a warning sign. Also, what does allowing abortion have to do with “black babies”? I never understood that meme. Someone should tell that moron that abortion is colorblind.

I thought it was pretty funny that Token Negropublican #3 or 4 said the reason 95% of blacks started voting Democratic is because Kennedy freed MLK from jail. Pretty clever way to leapfrog over the entire Civil Rights era and the exodus of southern bigots from the Democratic Party to the Republicans, amirite?

Broken Malice Machine July 31, 2010 at 1:17 am

Yeah I can’t help but note the symbolism at work here. The Democratic Party which holds voting majorities across all ethnic groups except for whites and is northern-based is the slave party. The GOP, which is OVERWHELMINGLY white, male and southern is the party of freedom for black people, so long as they don’t mind the “eccentricities” of being called “slaves” or the various groups like the CCC, FAIR and the Pioneer Fund along with CBN and Regenery Publishing which are run by actual white supremacists and who are also part of the GOP. The imagery is sort of like “the Odd Couple” only you replace Felix with Michael Steele and Oscar with Pat Robertson, oh what hilarity would ensue! Like the episode where Oscar (Robertson) accuses Felix (Steele) of hiding his KKK Grand Wizard hood only to find out Felix has been impersonating him at rallies to “get in good” with the influential southern conservatives!..what a cliff-hanger!

It’s funny when every so often a completely batshit insane black person tries to convince other black people that the GOP is the place to be. It’s a lot like the insane mutterings that son with the crazy ass father has whenever he’s on teevee about racial discrimination in a private company or by a home seller being something the government has no reason to intervene in, “Whaddya want a nanny state you dark-skinned crybabies! er…monkeys! er inferiors of not-white skin…er yes, vote Rand Paul!” Yes, even the black republicans somehow behave like racists here, pretending that Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson have some great pull with black people and not the policies of the GOP which actually created all the blight they blame on the Democrats. Anyway, I salute this guy and the cynical and always hilarious proclivity of Republicans to wear their few black members like pieces of jewelry; usually only seen at the convention. Nice try, now get back to trying to convince people that birthers and Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh aren’t complete racists!

mumblyjoe July 31, 2010 at 4:24 pm

[re=629595]Lascauxcaveman[/re]: You must have missed it in that youtube, because they explained it quite clearly:

It’s Democrats’ fault, because they, by not shaming single parents and divorcees-because-of-domestic-abuse, and also mind control, made it socially acceptable to be a single parent. And this means, because everyone loves the prospect of raising a family on a single minimum-wage income, single-parent families are suddenly totally the in thing to do. Which means that the menfolk, unburdened by the whole “family” thing, just cold go out and commit felonies all the time, because everyone knows that all single men do nothing but commit felonies, all of the time.

This is why so many black men are in jail, and why it’s the Democrats’ fault, and this is totally the explanation, rather than the vastly more plausible explanation that single-parent homes become a bit of a cultural norm when one-third to one-half of your menfolk end up in prison.

It’s important to get cause and effect straight here, and clearly the most reasonable explanation is that crime happens because of single-parent families, rather than single-parent families happening because one of the parents is in jail.

[re=629814]mumblyjoe[/re]: “It’s important to get cause and effect straight here, and clearly the most reasonable explanation is that crime happens because of single-parent families, rather than single-parent families happening because one of the parents is in jail.”

Interesting theory. Based on that logic, if all black men were let out of jail there would be a rash or marriages and all black men would be henceforth married. Then, there would be no more crime by blacks because there would be no more single parent families.

I guess that does it. The solution is to let all black men out of jail. I vote that they all be re-located to your city so that you may be among the first to savor the joys of a crime free existence.

mumblyjoe August 3, 2010 at 7:50 pm

[re=631383]ISquishYourBleedingHeart[/re]: Yes, clearly that was my point. Not that single parenthood is a rational response to the mix of pressures represented by poverty and a legal system that disproportionately targets blacks, and much more a consequence of that high rate of imprisonment than a cause of the same, but that all black men should be let out of jail, immediately.

Also, you seem to have difficulty differentiating sarcastic and serious speech. Now, I understand that it is the internet, but I generally assumed that most people would understand that the sheer absurdity of the implications of the “crime happens because of single parenthood” notion was a jest intended to draw attention to the fact that a lesser version of this reasoning is common to conservative thought in this case. So, to clarify in this post: the paragraph above this one is sarcastic, the one below is serious.

No, marriage is not actually that great in and of itself. It can have some okay externalities, but there are many many family configurations that are vastly preferable to certain two parent families, and even two-parent-of-opposite-gender families, in some cases. Loveless marriages are pretty terrible, counter-productive even. Abusive marriages are even worse, so shaming victims of domestic abuse into staying married is literally one of the most odious ideas for “fixing” the “marital culture” that anyone could dream up. Marriage doesn’t magically turn males’ criminal nature, because it ends up that men are capable of doing things other than having sex with ladies and committing felonies. The idea that men don’t know how to function as members of society unless they have a woman playing the role of mother-by-proxy is frankly insulting, to both men and women.
