Lame Iowa Teabaggers Get Scared, Take Down Cool Hitler Billboard

by Jack Stuef  3:51 pm July 14, 2010

Ranked #2 all time, so not as good as HitlerYesterday it was reported the North Iowa Tea Party pooled their Camel Cash together so they could let all of Mason City know that Obama is a socialist a la Hitler. But after all the libtard and British blogs posted pixx of this irrelevant thing in the middle of nowhere, the teabaggers called the billboard company, and it was taken down. Oh no! It seems the North Iowa Tea Party was naive, and now it is fearful. Those are the two things this sign says socialists prey on!

HAS THE NORTH IOWA TEA PARTY SUCCUMBED TO SOCIALISTS? Probably. But don’t you see now why they put up this billboard? It was a cry for help! They were naive and fearful, and now they have been CHANGED into Obamautomatons like the rest of the country.

This is what happens when we let our government adjust its public policy: a change in the system of government and oodles of genocide. Hopefully Obama continues to have trouble getting things such as these passed through Congress before he is voted out of office. Then we will once again be safe from these two guys who died over a half century ago.

Finally, I can be re-reminded of the 2006 Gun Show down at the abandoned carpet warehouse.

betweenstations July 14, 2010 at 3:56 pm

You’re more likely to run into a German than a black person in that part of Iowa. I’d figure they took down the billboard because the meth-addled people saw the black guy and freaked out.

ManchuCandidate July 14, 2010 at 3:57 pm

One day we will look back and laugh when a new Dr Seuss writes a kids book called “The Teabaggers who cried Hitler.”

Maybe.

I’ve never been so ashamed to be proud to be from Iowa. Of which I’m proud. But also ashamed, too. Life is good.

OzoneTom July 14, 2010 at 4:01 pm

Well if they are not going to use it, the Bonner County Republicans would like to have it to put up in their booth at the fair.

comicbookguy July 14, 2010 at 4:03 pm

This must be that whitewashing Chuck Norris warned us about.

predilectrix July 14, 2010 at 4:03 pm

Assuming the baggers have the brain function needed to register cognitive dissonance, wouldn’t said baggers experience aneurysms when Hitler–with whom they have cognitive resonance–is held up by their own group as the “bad guy”? Or do they simply not know what Hitler advocated and did? And have I answered my own question?

JMP July 14, 2010 at 4:03 pm

They think Obama’s a CommieNazi just like both Hitler and Lenin, because of course the Nazis and Communists just loved each other; there’s one more of the differences in our history and that of Earth-Wingnut, the alternate word the teabaggers came from.

I hope Jeebus will resurrect that swell bill board thingy in OKIEhoma!
We are real fearful and naive here. We need moar Christian conseravatives

One part is correct – Radical leaders prey on the fearful and the naive…and Glen Beck is doing his damnedest keep people afraid and stupid.

can someone please explain to me why npr is doing a top of the prime hour 10 minute segment on the baggers?

unless they’re planning on a hatchet job.

Ducksworthy July 14, 2010 at 4:09 pm

Too bad. That Democrat Socialism on the billboard is probably as close as we’re going to get to it in this century. Unless that is the Chamberpot of Commerce’s theory that Obama is trying to tank the economy to turn us all into socialists you know like FDR did is True.

Limeylizzie July 14, 2010 at 4:10 pm

The comments on that first link have some real gems including this one:

I think it is utterly disgusting to put Adolph Hitler in the same category as the other 2 on the billboard. Hitler was a great leader who took on the threat of the zionists. Hitler served with pride and courage. He distinguished himself on the battlefield in World War 1. Hitler was a great leader and was looking out for the interest of the German People. Obama is a puppet of israel. He is stupid and bumbling. He has never managed anything effectively. To elevate him to the same status as Adolph Hitler is an abomination. (a vile, shameful, or detestable action)

Geogre July 14, 2010 at 4:11 pm

At Think Progress, they had telephone interviews with the North Iowa Brave Freedom Loving Tea Party Extreme Patriotism Mega Super Ultralite Wolverines. They said that they didn’t quite entirely agree with the sign (then where did it come from, Dufus?), but they agreed entirely that everything Obama has done is exactly what Hitler did.

This struck me as a little… odd… because I seem to recall the Brownshirts imprisoning and shooting all of the political opponents of Hitler before he was named Chancellor. I seem to recall his actually throwing dissidents in jail and then putting them in concentration camps, and not “at the end,” either.

I must have a non-Texas history book.

Or do the white house interns form a firing squad? These are questions the teabaggers need to address!

Also, the white house forces all teabaggers to wear teabags. oh, wait.

Maybe this is explains why so few show up to their rallies?

It’s their party and they’ll cry if they want to.
But I suspect as it’s the Tea Party, they probably didn’t have the funds to pay for the Billboard, so down it came.

GODDAMNIT! You people haven’t learned anything. What KIND of “Luger”? The 7.65x22mm Parabellum? The 9x19mm Parabellum? Four inch standard barrel? Six inch Navy? The coveted .45 cal. ACP Army trials prototype?

GOPCrusher July 14, 2010 at 5:30 pm

Some of the more “sane” Teabaggers requested that the billboard be taken down. The fact that the Des Moines Register message boards were bombarded with messages proclaiming that this was proof that Teabaggers are, in fact, deranged, they realized that “The Majority” didn’t agree with their viewpoint of Comrade Obama.

That sign needs a forth picture, of a blond masseuse with a phd, cheap and effective health care, and retirement benefits, and the title “Swedish Socialism”. But I guess that would have confused their outdated and idiot proposition.

finallyhappy July 14, 2010 at 9:15 pm

I am not amazed at the utter stupidity of these people- we have locals(ohmygod- here in MC county, MD) who alternately accuse the President of facism and socialism- as if it was equivalent or as if he was either. I am pretty sure it is the being black thing( being half-white doesn’t count) that is the problem for them.

[re=617376]comicbookguy[/re]: The thing about the “Hitler” comparisons is that they’re absurd on their face, of course, but they’re just horsebuggery insane when you consider the fact that the first thing, the very first thing, Hitler did was organize “volunteers” to wear uniforms for their party and go around to beat, imprison, and kill the other political leaders, then political supporters, then intellectuals, then undesirables.

The brown shirts were a whole lot closer to the “spontaneous mob” that “demanded” the stop of the vote recount in Florida in 2000. (They were Bush campaign staff. You can spot Karl Rove in there, plus Andrew Card, plus Feith, plus Wolfowitz.) As for Lenin, well, they really don’t know anything more than a name.

As an aside, Mason City is also known for a lot of Frank Lloyd Wright construction. In fact I believe his only remaining commercial building is being renovated just off the square downtown. I graduated HS in Iowa and it is a very strange world. A lot more liberal than most people give them credit for (Voted Obama, legalized gay marriage, no helmet law for motorcycles, etc.)

This billboard shows that not all the students in Iowa payed attention in school, even though Iowa enjoys one of the highest standards of education in the US.

Enjoy.

biscuits July 15, 2010 at 10:46 am

Also, according to some older friends from Missouri, Iowa had a well known underground abortion clinic back when abortion was illegal – run, as I understand it, by members of the clergy who were pro-choice and well connected in rural communities.
