A Democrat-lady in the Tennessee Legislator said she had to “lift up the skirt” of every female Republican legislator because she couldn’t tell if they were actually ladies or not. Is she accusing female Republicans of not having balls? [RedState]

Good gravy, Matt Yglesias is a Flemish separatist! Just as we’ve long suspected. [Matt Yglesias]

Igloo Realtor Jim Inhofe is still 100% positive that global warming is an international conspiracy perpetrated by the U.N. and the Elders of Zion. [Think Progress]

Unemployed, dishonorably discharged army-man Alvin Greene has wooed a not-surprisingly large amount of South Carolina voters. [Daily Intel]

Keith Olbermann is going to arrest “Alabama TP” candidate Rick Barber for making a crappy campaign ad. [Hit & Run]

For someone who’s face is constantly red you’d think Inhofe would have different ideas about global warming.
Re: “lift up the skirt”
I don’t like giving RedState page views any more than NRO or Weekly Standard. Here is the full quote from a blog of the state newspaper
Rep. Janis Baird Sontany (D-53) said of female Republican state legislators, “You have to lift their skirts to find out if they are women. You sure can’t find out by how they vote!”
http://blogs.tennessean.com/politics/
RedState shows that they do not know the meaning of the word misogyny. It refers to a hatred and contempt of women simply because they are women, like anyone who believes in forth childbirth that you defend. It does not involve criticism of specific women because of what they’ve done. No, feminists are not misogynists for attacking women who support objectively anti-woman policies.
Seriously Belgium, you had a good run, but it time to call it quits. Flanders, Wallonia, go your separate ways and try to keep the memories of good times and just forget the bad.
Quebec and Canada, you too.
Texas/US, ditto.
[re=599153]Lascauxcaveman[/re]: But the divorce will be a tricky – who gets custody of beer?
Their delicious, delicious beer.
WTF, in South Carolina, a ham sandwich would probably get at least 40% of the vote.
Janis has a point. Many Republican men have to disguise themselves as women to get elected, like Virginia Foxx. She doesn’t even have 46 chromosones, more like 3.
I’m just glad it’s Janis Baird Sontany is lifting those skirts instead of me. I’ll bet there’re some Rethuglican ladies in the Tennessee legislature that make Virginia Foxx look pretty darn cute.
Al is getting 21% in the polls?
GO TEAM GREENE!
[re=599164]JMP[/re]: who gets custody of beer?
We do. You and I. That’s our fee for negotiating this settlement. Why else would an unfrozen caveman lawyer take on this type of case?
So ole Tabitha Hale, either a woman or an unfortunately named man, has got her panties in a bunch because one female Democrat said something she doesn’t like. She accuses Janis Baird Sontany, and by extension ALL Democrats, of not thinking for themselves by painting with too broad a brush in their treatment of ALL women and ALL blacks, and then calls ALL liberals sexist pigs. See how that works? Must be nice to be a redstater, where logic goes to die.
At redstate, saying “Hey maybe there’s another side to this” will get you banned for life.
[re=599257]comicbookguy[/re]: The first time I ever heard of, or read redstate, was a link from here, and Ewicksonofewick was threatening someone who was every-so-politely and timidly questioning him with banning. I was amazed and appalled.
Out with the old and in with the new, it’s Alvin Greene all the way… RUN MUTHA FUCKA RUN!
[re=599269]Katydid[/re]: My first foray into redstate, someone got banned for questioning the notion that tax cuts always lead to increased tax revenue. They all had a good laugh at that one!
Not a big Olbermann political fan, but I do admire the way he can get the wingnuts jacked up, just by mentioning his name. It’s like showing a cross to a vampire.
[re=599257]comicbookguy[/re]: I made one post on redstate and bam, gone. Truth/conservatism = oil/seawater.
somebody’s running for the office of “alabama toilet paper”? my word, what they won’t think of next, those clever southrons.
You all are aware, aren’t you, that Alvin Greene is the International Coordintor for Political Issues (ICPI) for the Elders of Zion, the John Birch Society, the Izaak Walton League, the Masons, the Illuminati, the Jesus Secret Society, and the National Aboration Rights Action League?
[re=599320]comicbookguy[/re]: Through extremely circuitous and tortured logic, you can hypothesize that tax cuts always might lead to increased government revenue. However, it always, every single fucking time, leads to an immediate loss in government revenue.
[re=599341]Zadig[/re]: You have to word it correctly. “Every tax cut has been followed by an increase in revenue.” Forget cause and effect, you just have to point to an uptick in revenue that happened sometime after the tax cut. These are the same people who bragged that Dubya got more votes than any American president in history. Yeah, that’s technically true, he did get more votes than George Washington! Which I suppose is supposed to suggest something that would be laughable if you said it out loud. Of course, they don’t say that about Obama who got more votes than Bush…
[re=599153]Lascauxcaveman[/re]: I’m fairly sure that neither France nor Netherlands want either of them. Separate, they’ll be poorer versions of Luxembourg.
A couple of years ago, a spoof had the king fleeing to Kinshasa, begging for asylum. That might be fun!
[re=599128]rafflesinc[/re]: Are there a lot of Rep(tilian) transvestites in Tennessee?
That is what I would tell myself every time a girl would reject my advances: either she’s not really a woman or she’s a lesbian.
