RAND PAUL HAD FANCY EVENT AT COUNTRY CLUB, What A Monster

by Jim Newell  4:34 pm May 19, 2010

Even though Rand Paul is a mean Kentucky whore who’s only in position to become a United States Senator because his wacky father is popular on Internet message boards, this is kind of terrible, that CNN thinks it’s controversial (and then Not As Controversial, when they realized he was just saving money this way) for Paul to be holding his victory party at a country club.

Many other news outlets have brought up this horrifying political crisis, too. How is this more elitist than holding it at a Four Seasons Grand Ballroom, like every other major candidate does? It’s not like black people are allowed in either way.

They’re all elitist–over-priced country clubs and over-priced hotels.

If they want to really be “of the people,” they should hold their receptions and speeches and parties at something that all people can attend and afford.

Until that time, they’re all morons and hypocrites.

SayItWithWookies May 19, 2010 at 4:41 pm

And come on — it’s a Kentucky country club, for Christ’s sake. All that means is that there was no coal under it.

WhatTheHeck May 19, 2010 at 4:44 pm

So what’s the big deal? Down at the Trailer park, we have our own private golf course and tennis courts.
And we even have a day for the coloreds.

Snarkalicious May 19, 2010 at 4:46 pm

Long John Silvers or GTFO!!!

Sharkey May 19, 2010 at 4:47 pm

“For the next 60 seconds? Yes, Ms. Soup, he is the new face of the Teabaggers.”

Sharkey May 19, 2010 at 4:49 pm

He couldn’t just have it at his house or in a field somewhere?

mcc May 19, 2010 at 4:49 pm

Shh, it’s a “narrative”. That means you’re not allowed to question it.

[re=580977]thefrontpage[/re]: So, the bar at a TGI Friday’s, then?

chascates May 19, 2010 at 4:54 pm

Most media are still fuming over the fact that Al Gore bought an expensive house in California! Any rich liberal environmentalist should be living in a treehouse made from recycled Mother Earth News magazines.

Extemporanus May 19, 2010 at 4:54 pm

Technically, aren’t all clubs in Kentacky “country”?

Darkness May 19, 2010 at 4:54 pm

    He’s got his, fuck you

ella May 19, 2010 at 4:55 pm

“The dues are not that obnoxious, like $7,500 a year.”

O rly? The CNN guy makes too much money.

WadISay May 19, 2010 at 4:55 pm

OK, at 0:45, where Cooper says, “If you want to talk fiscal conservatism, his staff says one of the reasons he gets a room there is…”, how many of you completed that sentence with, “…on account of the fawn-like asses of the caddies.”?

Dashboard_Buddha May 19, 2010 at 4:57 pm

[re=580977]thefrontpage[/re]: What’s to see? Just settin’ and spittin’.

What Fresh Hell is This? May 19, 2010 at 4:57 pm

Surely somebody’s mom and dad have a nice big rumpus room. Randy Paul could at least stick around for MMORPG.

Extemporanus May 19, 2010 at 4:58 pm

[re=580991]m_supercomputer[/re]: “You know what, Rand, if you want me to wear 37 pieces of tard, like your party boss over there, Ron, why don’t you just make the minimum 37 pieces of tard?”

twowheeljunkie May 19, 2010 at 5:00 pm

$7,500.00 That’s not to pricey.

Are you kidding me? I wonder what it cost to join Augusta?

Aflac Shrugged May 19, 2010 at 5:01 pm

Guys like Rand Paul and the teatards are kinda like this ongoing high-school romantic comedy in American politics. Rand Paul is the pretty cheerleader, and the teatards are, well, the teatards. They get asked to the homecoming dance, and they just know that this probably shouldn’t be happening, but they want so much to believe this could be their moment. Then they get there, and realize that Rand Paul had some plot-twisting reason for wanting to go with them to the dance, as Rand Paul leaves them to fellate the cruelly handsome quarterback from the richest family in town.

What makes this a comedy for me is that the ending where Rand Paul loves the teatards for who they are, on the inside, never fucking happens. But it’s not like a strong grasp of history is among the teatards’ strengths, so congratulations and well played, Rand Paul.

That Evening Sun May 19, 2010 at 5:03 pm

ThisIsNotAnAvatar May 19, 2010 at 5:07 pm

GOPCrusher May 19, 2010 at 5:09 pm

More proof that The TeaBagger Party is a Grassroots organization.

Snarkalicious May 19, 2010 at 5:09 pm

[re=581008]twowheeljunkie[/re]: Who’s the richest blax dude in Georgia, and what are that dude’s max liquid assets? The cost is 5 hundo above that.

WadISay May 19, 2010 at 5:15 pm

I LOLed at MSNBC last night, where somebody described Paul as a “firey orator,” followed by a clip of him mumbling and droning a bunch of douchey cliches.

yellowerdog May 19, 2010 at 5:17 pm

I wanted to check out the food at the kosher-vegetarian station, but….Also
FREEDOM!!!!

zhubajie May 19, 2010 at 5:27 pm

Is it a Whites only country club?

biznesskommunity May 19, 2010 at 5:28 pm

I just think it’s funny that someone other than a Democrat is being accused of being an elitist.

Aurelio May 19, 2010 at 5:29 pm

What will happen when the teabaggers, who are fascists, meet up with the Paultards, who are libertarians?

Accordion-o-rama May 19, 2010 at 5:34 pm

[re=581044]zhubajie[/re]: No, it a Cunts only whitey club.

Mad Farmer Manifest May 19, 2010 at 5:38 pm

Is the scampy little carpetbagger going to run to the center now? Or is he going full teatarded? Either way, hilarity will ensue. Thanks, Torture McCorporatism!

[re=581012]Aflac Shrugged[/re]: Slow clap.

GOPCrusher May 19, 2010 at 5:40 pm

[re=581046]Aurelio[/re]: I defy you to show me the difference between them now, other than the tinfoil hats.

Radiotherapy May 19, 2010 at 5:47 pm

So what’s his stand on Veranda Rights?

ThisIsNotAnAvatar May 19, 2010 at 5:57 pm

[re=581060]Radiotherapy[/re]: He’s got Credenza on the Veranda.

Cape Clod May 19, 2010 at 5:57 pm

[re=581034]WadISay[/re]: Although he is what you could generously call a mediocre speaker, his oration is full of Pavlovian buzz words that teabaggers react to like a chorus of seals with electrodes up their asses.

bitchincamaro May 19, 2010 at 5:58 pm

*Hoping Rodney Dangerfield crashes the festivities*

Literally.

With a golf cart.

Also, that’s your gotcha for the year, John King. Wadda wanker.

wilbro May 19, 2010 at 6:38 pm

Why couldn’t Paul hold his teartard party in a state park like the soon-to-be-former rep from Indiana and his abstinent-tard lady-whore staffer?

That’s free.

Cheaper than a motel, anyway.

Rentboy.gov May 19, 2010 at 6:44 pm

Ron Paul, Rand Paul…where does RuPaul fit into all of this?

Tim May 19, 2010 at 6:50 pm

They didn’t mention that at the Crab Orchard Cuntry Club free opossum, choco-gravy and biscuits were had by all. Next step: privatize that damn Daniel Boone National Forest. Dan Boone was a genuine teatard and would never name a forest after himself. Cut it down already.

Lazy Media May 19, 2010 at 7:23 pm

[re=581046]Aurelio[/re]: They’ll both bitch about taxes and how black people get everything handed to them.

Mr Blifil May 19, 2010 at 7:43 pm

If Rand Paul is the new face of the Tea Baggers, who is their Wiener?

Only in Kentucky (well uh, maybe Alabama, Missippi, Idaho, Montana, N & S Dakota, South Carolina and most likely Texass) can a full blown douche-libconsevatard idiot win an election, primarily because the electorate is mentally challenged. I wonder if he’s going to establish one of those “Paultard” villages, population: Ø?

widget09 May 20, 2010 at 8:00 am

Sorry Mississippi! not really
