Saturday, May 1: The Kentucky Derby is a very important sporting/drinking event for certain Americans. [Acadiana ]Saturday, May 1: It's taste season! What does this mean? Restaurants all over town will soon be offering "tastes" (bigger than a sample, but smaller than a real meal) of their food for semi-exorbitant amounts of money. But it's worth it because the food is good and when will you ever have the opportunity to try every restaurant in town, which is a must-do, right? The "Taste of 8th," a sampling of food from restaurants on Barracks Row, is this Saturday from 1-4PM. Tickets are $5 per taste, or 5 tastes for $20. [Taste of 8th ]
