Sadly, the best place to follow last-minute whip count developments is on the Twitter, America’s journalism machine. Everyone’s goin’ nuts and stone cold contradictin’ each other about how the incompetent dragon Bart Stupak will vote. Will it be “yes,” “no,” “up,” or “potato”?

I thought this was going to be about Solly Forell (whose name is insensitive to Asian readers) and his Murder Tweet about Barry. This day could not get more exciting (it could, though).
I’m going to take a nap until 4:00 P.M. EST. When I wake up, health care reform had GODDAMNED BETTER BE PASSED, MOTHERFUCKERS.
Bart Stupak is the democrat’s answer to media whore Ted Bunning (R Ky).
RT @huffpoitics just got off the ferris wheel with Stupack- still a yes vote.
RT @worldnetbreakingnews Just ran into Stupack in the bathroom at Arby’s- totally committed no vote- says won’t change
RT @kingkong33 Stupack just jogged by me- says vote is uncommitted
@proudgrampa: He sez po-tah-to!!!
Stupak is an asshole.
Gawd, is Bart Stupak trying to get his own reality show or what? He can crawl back into his hidey hole anytime now; his 15 minutes of being a fame whore is more annoying than Lindsey Lohan’s.
Hey, Bart, if the bill is good enough for a bunch of Catholic nuns, you can shut your piehole about abortion anytime now!
[re=535207]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: And if you’re so against abortion, then don’t have one, you stupid fuck!
If Twitter is to be believed, Stupak will be voting #JustinBieber
[re=535210]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: man, I do not like war.
I want an executive order saying my tax dollars will not fund blowing up babies with bombs.
My bet’s on “potato.” They’re related to the nightshade, which is an occasionally poisonous shrub used in hillbilly herbal remedies, not to mention witches’ “flying ointment” from older times.
And that about sums up my opinion of Stupak, w.r.t. health care reform, if not in general.
[re=535210]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: Even if we were to buy that abortion was more of a social decision than an individual one, Stupak’s position on this makes no sense except if viewed as a crypto-conservative attempt to get rid of the practice entirely. There’s no way any of the federal plans would ever pay for abortion; only individual premiums would. This has already been fact-checked approximately a zillion times, so this is either a) pure famewhoring or b) an earnest if convoluted attempt to basically reduce the number of current abortions by placing them more out of the reach of the poor. I almost hope it’s (a).
It’s hard to keep up with all the Stupak going on in this country.

[re=535248]EdFlinstone[/re]: Today, all our neighbors are Bart Stupak. (We are not, however. Today we are all Bart Stupak’s neighbors, reporting about him on twitter.)
[re=535204]NYNYNY[/re]: RT @wonkette Stupak just sukked my dick; reaffirms he will vote “Mmplff!”
If only “the gentleman’s time has expired” could actually =death panels.
