why can’t they just call themselves “Fox News — Paper Edition” and be done with it?

The Little Rock March 19, 2010 at 2:16 pm

I’m wondering if these two will violate their Sabbath to vote against this.

Mr Blifil March 19, 2010 at 2:17 pm

Um what’s she planning to do with that finger, and why is he raising his hand?

AnnieGetYourFun March 19, 2010 at 2:18 pm

They could cut to the point much quicker if they would just draw cartoons of Obama raping white fetuses. All these “words” distract from their main point, which is: Black man. Ruling our cuntry. NEVAR FORGIT!

AnglRdr March 19, 2010 at 2:18 pm

I demand evidence that either Bachmann or King, or the combination thereof, has ever had an idea.

ella March 19, 2010 at 2:20 pm

Jeebus, how old IS she? Her neck has more rings than a redwood.

LittlePig March 19, 2010 at 2:24 pm

“Obamacare threatens future”.. for all values of “future” that equal fat insurance company profits and the political contributions thereof.

JMP March 19, 2010 at 2:25 pm

Both the site, the authors and the use of the term “obamacare” were obvious warnings to stay away. But still I read, and now my brain hurts…

They bring up zombie lies about the bill, claiming it’ll pay for abortions and undocumented aliens. Nope, while that would be the case in a just world, this bill was designed to appease misogynists and bigots like these two.

Yes, it’s going to kill seniors to start socialized medicine by taking money away from Medicare – you know, the program of actual socialized medicine for old people.

It’s nice that the Politico just lets them boldly assert that health care will become more expensive and provide less, without evidence. To be fair, our current system is only the world’s most expensive, with the worst outcomes in the first world; so making it more like cheaper, better systems will logically make the price go up and quality go down.

“How many of us here like to put on the SS costume and play camp guard?”

magic titty March 19, 2010 at 2:27 pm

Hide your dalmatians.

SayItWithWookies March 19, 2010 at 2:28 pm

Politico keeps using that word. I do not think it means what they think it means.

freakishlystrong March 19, 2010 at 2:29 pm

King is a dick, Bachmann is a liar.

Hopey dont play that game March 19, 2010 at 2:34 pm

“How many of you have that “not-so-fresh-feeling”?

UncleTom March 19, 2010 at 2:38 pm

Of course about the same time MB is bleating about how terrible the bill is for old people, the AARP (America’s old-people union? lobby? cadre? hit-squad?) put out a press release about how great the bill was and how all the Senators and Representatives who know (or are) an old person should vote for it.

nappyduggs March 19, 2010 at 2:38 pm

“In the future, the default 404 Error page will look like this.”

I said gotdam, Mr. Jim Newell. Gotdam, gotdam, gotdam.

Extemporanus March 19, 2010 at 2:39 pm

Here’s an idea, Politico: “Go eat an 80-year-old bag of unsalted poison limp Lithuanian nun weiners.”

Extemporanus March 19, 2010 at 2:39 pm

[re=534134]SayItWithWookies[/re]: Like “reality”, “ideas” is a relative term.

blkblt March 19, 2010 at 2:41 pm

Michelle has sort of a Naughty Nurse thing going on here.

sati demise March 19, 2010 at 2:45 pm

Ideas?

All I see and hear is a howling wind tunnel.

Ducksworthy March 19, 2010 at 2:46 pm

[re=534140]Hopey dont play that game[/re]: Precisely my feeling. I think I once dated a woman who looked/smelled/something like Bachmann and all I can remember is the smell.

GOPCrusher March 19, 2010 at 2:50 pm

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, as an Iowan I apologize for Steve King being such a douchebag. I have to apologize for Michele Bachmann too, since she was born in my hometown in Iowa and migrated to Minnesota.
Sincerely America, not everyone in Iowa is batshyt crazy.

WadISay March 19, 2010 at 2:51 pm

If Bachman and King “got it on”, they could be the founders of a race of super-morons.

Monsieur Grumpe March 19, 2010 at 2:51 pm

[re=534157]Ducksworthy[/re]:
Sulfur?

slappypaddy March 19, 2010 at 2:51 pm

[re=534133]magic titty[/re]: win

Terry March 19, 2010 at 2:53 pm

Honestly, who is voting for this woman?

El Pinche March 19, 2010 at 2:53 pm

[re=534157]Ducksworthy[/re]: Oh yes. I used to “date” (more like bang on weekends, even Sundays!) a Christian skank like Michelle who had a tramp stamp of a crucifix. And Massengil was Satan’s cleanser.

V572625694 March 19, 2010 at 2:58 pm

[re=534143]UncleTom[/re]: AARP is an insurance company, plain and simple; they just masqueraded as an Olds lobby but finally became a mere acronym. They supported Chimpy’s drug plan, doughnut whole and all. This bill is a huge gift to them, just as it is to Aetna, Anthem and the rest. Wish it were otherwise, and it’s better than nothing, but still…

Hooray For Anything March 19, 2010 at 3:01 pm

[re=534163]WadISay[/re]: I was just going to post that I think King and Bachmann are totally getting it on in the after hours. Probably a whole bunch of kinky, crazy stuff to as they’re both crazy and Bachmann looks like she’ll be up for Tiger Woods kind of stuff. I’m totally picturing some role playing where King pretends to be President Reagan while Bachmann pretends to be Ronald Reagan and they go at it while listening to his anti-Medicare speech.

Joshua Norton March 19, 2010 at 3:01 pm

Is it just or do all those white guys look like they’re morphing into Joe Lie-berman. Or maybe I’ve been watching too many “Dr. Who” reruns.

No, it’s definitely the morphing thingy.

JMP March 19, 2010 at 3:02 pm

[re=534136]freakishlystrong[/re]: Now, both King and Bachmann are crazy enough that it’s certainly possible that they actually believe most of the bullshit they’re spewing; making them insane, no lying.

[re=534166]Terry[/re]: The crazies need representation, too!

Ducksworthy March 19, 2010 at 3:03 pm

[re=534167]El Pinche[/re]: Oh I thought that was what date meant. Sorry. Massengill eh? Good to know.

DP March 19, 2010 at 3:04 pm

[re=534111]Mr Blifil[/re]: She has, or is about to, pick his nose.

FlownOver March 19, 2010 at 3:05 pm

It’s Friday. I’m putting a hold on all Wonkett nominees until we get our Comics Curmudgeon back.

Monsieur Grumpe March 19, 2010 at 3:06 pm

[re=534166]Terry[/re]:
I live in the district next to Michelle’s and it is not pretty. Plywood cutouts of fat women bending over seem to be mandatory lawn décor, four wheeling in mud is considered an intellectual pursuit and Wal-Mart dictates the fashion trends. However, the Halloween parade in Anoka is a hoot if you’re really really drunk which, again, appears to be mandatory.

El Pinche March 19, 2010 at 3:07 pm

[re=534182]Ducksworthy[/re]: Yeah, there’s three flavors I think.

Prommie March 19, 2010 at 3:10 pm

They didn’t show the process in the movie, but this is the beginning of Idiocracy, isn’t it? The fucktarded have taken over, and HCR, when it passes, will only enrage them into electing a GOP majority later this year, and this will be the stupidest, mean-est GOP majority yet, and 1994 was pretty bad, and you know what, they will impeach Obama for blackness, declare Christianity the State Religion, and do much worse, and we will wind up looking like a giant North American Butt-Fuckistan within a couple of years.

AnglRdr March 19, 2010 at 3:20 pm

[re=534175]V572625694[/re]: Has anybody ever told you that you are a cynic?

sati demise March 19, 2010 at 3:21 pm

[re=534193]Prommie[/re]: now now, why so glum? you forgot about the latinos and all teh other browns who have been pissed off by the GOP. The white and crazy demographic is the minority now.

[re=534175]V572625694[/re]:silently lurking in the ‘insurance exchanges’ is a required non-profit insurance option.

this is my secret hope..it will eventually take over the whole nation along with the expansion of Medicaid for the working poor.

Oh hey, look: Health care reform reduced abortions in Massachusetts: http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/03/18/massachusetts-study-health-care-reform-could-reduce-abortions/

ShamWow March 19, 2010 at 3:30 pm

[re=534175]V572625694[/re]: Damn the AARP – since they taught the olds how to ‘sext’ my gramps keeps sending nekkid pics of his old balls to my friends. Damn you AARP!!

bureaucrap March 19, 2010 at 3:32 pm

[re=534188]FlownOver[/re]: I think Steve King is the new comics curmudgeon. He’s certainly comical enough.

Autoo March 19, 2010 at 3:37 pm

[re=534208]sati demise[/re]: silently lurking in the ‘insurance exchanges’ is a required non-profit insurance option.

I like the way you think.

[re=534188]FlownOver[/re]: He said last time he was taking his standard Comics Curmudgeon Quarterly Vacation, which I believe is 6 weeks off? Maybe it was 8.

steverino247 March 19, 2010 at 3:38 pm

Bachmann: “And now a man with a CD player in his nose…” (inserts that finger)

Terry March 19, 2010 at 3:44 pm

[re=534190]Monsieur Grumpe[/re]:

Seems like Garrison Keillor’s view of Lake Woebegon is more idealized that we all thought.

steverino247 March 19, 2010 at 3:49 pm

[re=534175]V572625694[/re]: Glad somebody else sees the truth about AARP. They may have started out as a lobby for the Olds, but soon turned to the Dark Side.

drrty martini March 19, 2010 at 3:49 pm

They’re a brilliant idea-filled team! I think they should get a gig with the Washington Post.

V572625694 March 19, 2010 at 3:55 pm

[re=534205]AnglRdr[/re]: You honor me. Cynicism > sarcasm > snark. Although I love them all.

But originally not, according to Wikipedia: “The Cynics rejected all conventions, whether of religion, manners, housing, dress, or decency, advocating the pursuit of virtue in a simple and unmaterialistic lifestyle.

“By the 19th century, emphasis on the negative aspects of Cynic philosophy led to a new and very different understanding of cynicism to mean an attitude of jaded negativity, and a general distrust of the integrity or professed motives of other people.”

Hooray For Anything March 19, 2010 at 3:59 pm

[re=534193]Prommie[/re]: I’ve already started drinking in preparation of November. Can’t wait for the investigations into Desiree Rogers resignation, the creation of a Special Prosecutor to look into Obama’s birth certificate, and Liz Cheney being appointed as the Head of the House Anti-Jihadist Committee

[re=534161]GOPCrusher[/re]: STOP THE CONTAGION!! BOMB IOWA!!

[re=534188]FlownOver[/re]: Errr.. – early Sat morn here – getting ready for a end-of summer day trip. But The Comics Curmudgeon is in all our hearts…

wilbro March 19, 2010 at 4:55 pm

You know who didn’t have health care when he was bleeding on the cross. He did the freedom-loving honorable thing and just died.

But then he came back. So not having health care is next to godliness.

But there was a death panel. Even without the socialisms.

gurukalehuru March 19, 2010 at 5:02 pm

If you don’t know the difference between an idea and an opinion, it may be because you’ve never had an idea.

emberglance March 19, 2010 at 5:34 pm

Wonkette, even by your own standards, this is a funny one.

Lionel Hutz Esq. March 19, 2010 at 5:38 pm

Apparently the title should be “Idea,” and it is not at all shocking that it takes both of their skulls to hold just this one.

Toomush Infermashun March 19, 2010 at 6:04 pm

I love how cutting funding to old folks medicare increases socialism…you know, capitalism increases socialism, too….

Native of SL UT March 19, 2010 at 9:45 pm

I’m glad the future is now so short. I’m getting tired of this shit.

CanadianBacon March 19, 2010 at 10:36 pm

[re=534523]maggiegg82[/re]: After reading your post I keep getting visions of some old guy in a walker heading towards a day care with a bottle of viagra in the pocket of his pajamas or an old lady sitting in her wheelchair on the corner holding up a sign “will trade candy for sex”.

Long Form Def Certificate March 20, 2010 at 8:47 pm

[re=534193]Prommie[/re]: So, who gets to be President Camacho, who was black? Since I seem to recall him having been either an action-movie star or athlete (wrestler or boxer, maybe?), what of former brother-in-law of Michael Steele, Mike Tyson?
