Commies, Nancies Seeing Momentum

by Jim Newell

Check out the trend, losers! The Blacks are slowly gaining on the Indians, and blood will run through the streets of Real America soon… SOON! But what could account for this sudden swing in favor of the health care reform plan, which, as Republicans had assured us, had been memorized, analyzed, cross-checked, and graded a Terrible Socialism Failure by 99% of American adults?

Did the Democrats slip awesome “One Free Abortion Within 90 Days” coupons into the mix in exchange for adopting the stricter, long-term Stupak abortion language? Maybe. Most likely it’s that America’s beloved insane snippy left is finally showing some unity to get through this last and only possible act.

And when it passes YOU ALL BETTER CHEER FOR IT, GOT IT? YOU WILL CHEER NAKED AT MIDNIGHT EACH NIGHT UNTIL ELECTION TIME. Because that is how much you love SUBSIDIZED FOR-PROFIT MEDICAL COVERAGE WITH 60% ACTUARIAL VALUE AND 3:1 COMMUNITY RATING. Take your sub-80% medical loss-ratios and snorkel your fat grandmother all night long with them, Wellpoint! United!… The Other Ones! (GEICO??)

I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO TURN MY HEAD AND COUGH, with joy.

Come here a minute March 11, 2010 at 3:39 pm

Democrats should just maintain their majority the way the Republicans did, by handing out stacks of cash with googly eyes glued on.

Dr. Feelquestionable March 11, 2010 at 3:40 pm

Dude, I am loving that 4% gain in approval here in the 11,000,000th million month of the health care reform process. THIS IS CHANGE I CAN BELIEVE IN. It must have been the scintillating 90-hour long health care “summit” held smack in the middle of the working week when a. the few remaining working Americans couldn’t have seen it and b. the unemployed Americans were still sleeping off their necessary-to-cope drinking binge from the night before and therefore didn’t see it that pushed HCR over the edge to success, as it were.

Way Cool Larry March 11, 2010 at 3:40 pm

“snorkel your fat grandmother all night long with them”– actually she’s headed for the death panel… although, ewww!

megs March 11, 2010 at 3:42 pm

Hmm, I’m kind of coming around on this, but I’m still not totally convinced that this isn’t a bolshevik plot to kill grandma. Dazzle me!

SayItWithWookies March 11, 2010 at 3:43 pm

That’s a very inappropriate image, and I hope the sponsors of the pig roast apologize.

Mr Blifil March 11, 2010 at 3:45 pm

But will there be an investigation into Eric Massa? How many asses were patted and who knew? Nancy? Did Nancy know? WE NEED TO GET TO THE BOTTOM.

Extemporanus March 11, 2010 at 3:49 pm

GO JIM!

We’re so terrific, we MUST BE TORROS!

Troubledog March 11, 2010 at 3:52 pm

This is simply a conspiracy to make the graph data look like a Jesus fish.

Cape Clod March 11, 2010 at 3:55 pm

So 43% of Murikans actually don’t mind have their healthcare RAMMED DOWN THEIR THROAT!?
This country is twisted.

Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire March 11, 2010 at 3:57 pm

But when you take out Rasmussen, and poll people on individual aspects of the plan, they love HCR so much, they lust after it like it’s a pillow at a Korean whorehouse. Also, snorkeling.

That’s not all he did with that pillow. He had platonic tickling with it, whereby said tickling was accomplished by the man placing his You Know inside the pillow in a non-sexual way.

That poll will look even better once we start death paneling the olds!
The day it passes, I promise to stand on my roof every night at midnight and howl “Alahu Akhbar!” in celebration.

Hooray For Anything March 11, 2010 at 4:14 pm

Meh, polls. Nobody cares about them or pays any attention to them unless they show the Republicans doing well in something.

germansteel March 11, 2010 at 4:20 pm

What is depressing is that the Democrats weren’t (aren’t) smart enough to have realized last summer that, fuckitall, they’re never going to get any Republican votes so they should just go ahead and ram this sucker through and be done with it. With the Murken Attention Span being about one weekend long – tops – it would all be ancient history now, and even the dopey Republicans would be trying to (and probably succeeding at) taking credit for its passage. Like the stimulus money spent in their districts.

But, alas, no – the Democrats are too fucking dumb to think that far ahead. Like I said: Depressing.

[re=529042]Cape Clod[/re]: Throat Ramming is now the equivalent of a peck on the cheek.

Starrigavan March 11, 2010 at 4:25 pm

When it passes our Sarah will give an exclusive interview with the fat crybaby on tv, not the fat drug addict on the radio, where she’ll tearfully relate how she was death-paneled as a young snowbilly in Canada and had to escape and flee back to America. Where she married a Native American who has socialized medicine and now her children and even the HOLY ICON Trig has socialized medicine! But that’s okay because socialized medicine for her family but not for everyone else is a common sense solution that every Republican member of Congress agrees with. Too. And also.

WadISay March 11, 2010 at 4:30 pm

[re=529042]Cape Clod[/re]: I have long since lost track of whether the HCR bill is good/bad policy. I just want to see it rammed and wriggled up Mitch McConnel’s firm yet tender orifice.

Ducksworthy March 11, 2010 at 4:38 pm

[re=529078]Starrigavan[/re]: I hadn’t thought of that but of course you’re right. This is Amurikka. Olds, Indians and Retards get the socialized health care and the rest of us can fuk off.

I hereby nominate Lieberdouche to be 1st in the death panel line. He’s old enough, he’s stupid enough, and goddammit, no one likes him.

Jim, I don’t mean to alarm you — and I’m sorry I didn’t notice this earlier — but the sonar display at the top of this post appears to show an Architeuthis dux lurking just below the surface of our Wonkette.

Innersting that support was way high before the Republitard spin machine cranked up. By the end of the year their vaunted machine will look like a Toyota going over a bridge in a ball of flames.

Oh who am I kidding, it’s still in the hands of Dems.

natoslug March 11, 2010 at 8:13 pm

Can’t we compromise and send 48.2% of Americans to death camps and give socialized medicine to the remainder? Assuming we use the pollster poll to determine who goes to the camps, I don’t see any downside to this.

Katydid March 11, 2010 at 8:38 pm

Anyone else notice that the Quinnipiac polls are just as fucked up as Rasmussen? I had an “interesting” e-mail correspondence with Peter Brown, the asst. director there. He’s an openly rightwing dickwad, so no bias problems there.

DustBowlBlues March 11, 2010 at 8:53 pm

[re=529151]Katydid[/re]: Well said. And from another feeble signal that the Democrats have realized they won the election, Chris Dodd, according to MSNBC (so it’s probably wishful dreaming) has flipped off the Republics and submitted his own bill on financial reform. Since I think we can all agree that douchey Max Bauchus gave the bill to Repubics to fuck up so he wouldn’t have to do it himself, and gave them a year to do it, any legislation that cuts out the Repubtards is good news.

Of course, it still won’t have that Consumer Freedomz Panel in it, or whatever it was the SNL crew of former presidents were talking about on Be Funny Or Die.

[re=529190]problemwithcaring[/re]: Yeah, he’s going to fly to a Costa Rica, a third world country with socialized medicine, to get his capitalist first world health care. Poor Costa Rica. Do they have hospital beds big enough?
