That woulda been wonderful — and if Obama had taken office in early September of 2008, I’d have given him loads of shit about how he handled the bank bailout. Letting them fail would’ve added 2% to our unemployment rolls. That would be risky indeed.

But having Timmy Geitner and Larry Summers in power instead of in jail has cost him points to the same order of magnitude. I’ll accept his excuses, but I wanna see some mean. And soon.
Actually, this matters, and it’s better for Obama on the birther front if his mother wasn’t married. If his parents (one citizen, one not) were married and he was born elsewhere, say Kenya, then according to immigration law circa 1961, he was a citizen via his mom, but only for a limited time. He would have needed to make it permanent at some point.
But if his mom was an unwed US citizen, then he is a citizen, full stop.

I read all this before I watched the clip, and now that I’ve watched the clip, this guy is even a bigger douche than I thought.
