Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, or KSM—the most troubling acronym since “MILF”—and four friends will be transferred from Gitmo to New York, where they will be tried in a federal court for being in charge of 9/11. Eric Holder says that prosecutors will seek the death penalty. Reports the WSJ: “The prisoners won’t be transferred for weeks because of a law requiring at least 45 days notice to Congress before prisoner transfer from Guantanamo. Once brought to the U.S., the detainees will be held at the federal prison in New York.” This makes Khalid Sheikh Mohammed the only person in the past ten years to move to New York and not live in Brooklyn. I bet his prison cell is larger than my studio
So this is the picture that they’re using of KSM in the New York Times.
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like an angry Muppet?
predictably, the teatards are aghast, not sure exactly what their complaint is, something about KSM sucking the life out of innocent american babies through their nostrils
http://www.balloon-juice.com/?p=29749
So he’s known as “Hambali??” WTF is that?
Thank You KSM, for clean and decent music faced. Oh, the penalty of early death. Something to talk about. What a comfort this will be to Glenn Greenwald and the 17,000 +- 4k other passable men of Generation X.
But will he kill us with his laser vision and trans-sonic howl?
First Radio Raheem, now Khalid Sheikh. Put some extra mozzarella on that motherfucker and shit.
This is great. It would be greater if the other war criminals GWB and DBC would be on trial at the same time and would occupy the same cell. That would be the greatest. Comedy Gold.
Oh, this should be interesting — not only because it’ll shut up the idiots who think he’s too dangerous to be in prison in the US (?!) but also because no federal judge is going to look kindly on his treatment since his capture. Which means it might open a back door to some war crimes trials.
[re=457826]loquaciousmusic[/re]: He looks so..so Muslin!
After a brief trial in a Manhattan night court, Judge Harold T. Stone found Khalid guilty and sentenced him to a $50 fine and time served.
“45 days notice to Congress before prisoner transfer from Guantanamo” I think BHO should send KSM over immediately and say I’m the Supreme Commander, I do WTF I want with military prisoners. Just like the last guy that was Supreme Commander. Impeach my ass if you don’t like it.
It’s amazing that people are on the teevee saying, “It’s too dangerous to bring him near The Site!” Jeebus H Christ: he’ll be in leg- and wrist-irons and have a bag over his head and 15 glory-hungry federal marshals armed to the teeth lashed to him. The only thing that would make him try to escape no matter what the cost would be the prospect of being water-boarded 137 more times.
[re=457851]Naked Bunny with a Whip[/re]:
Yes, but he’s also got to perform 120 hours of community service, which he intends to fulfill as a substitute math teacher at the Mohammed Jihad School for Moslem Boys.
This makes Khalid Sheikh Mohammed the only person in the past ten years to move to New York and not live in Brooklyn.
That may be so Juli, however KSM and The Sunni Band will be playing The Music Halal of Williamsburg in January; album in stores NOW!
Couldn’t you say, “coming to new york for trial, shopping at bloomingdales, the circle line tour, “The Lion King”, apres theater dinner at Sardi’s, and death”? That sounds like much more fun.
So he’s on a path to citizenship now, and gets the public health care option, which means free abortions and Sean Hannity has to foot the bill. At least we’ll finally put those death panels to good use.
[re=457856]V572625694[/re]:
Clearly, you haven’t seen any of the X-Men movies. It’s not all that hard to escape from irons and only 15 or so marshalls. Magneto could do it without breaking a sweat.
[re=457856]V572625694[/re]: I don’t think people (at least THINKING people) are worried about what he’ll do. They’re worried about what will be done by others to either try to free him, or destroy the court he’s going to be tried in, or kill the judge, or whatever. Didn’t extremists attack the World Trade Center in the 90s for this purpose? Or something?
So no one told you life was gonna be this way…
[re=457826]loquaciousmusic[/re]: Hambalufagus?
Khalid, baby, while you’re in New York, I can’t make it myself but, if you get a chance, Tim Burton is having a retrospective of his drawings and paintings at MoMA November 22 through April 26, and if you want to blog it I’ll keep a couple of posts open for you. Kisses.
[re=457868]blinky_twinkie[/re]: Nope, not worried about that either. Happy to have him on trial here in my fair city.
[re=457834]blader[/re]: Those folks are just impossible to please. They bitch and moan that Obama needs to read the Constitution. And when he does, they get even more riled. What a bunch of drama whores.
[re=457835]proudgrampa[/re]: I think it was that device or some such that everyone on Alias got their panties in a bunch over.
[re=457868]blinky_twinkie[/re]: So there’s more chance of an attack on NYC, because people want to break Khalid out of jail? Hmm….
Why didn’t they just bomb Gitmo?
[re=457842]ph7[/re]: D motherfucker, D!
[re=457882]magic titty[/re]: Muslims can’t swim. Except Uighurs, they’re like friggin’ dolphins.
If the War on Terror has got everybody down, don’t worry, the War on the Moon is going great!
[re=457846]SayItWithWookies[/re]: “…it might open a back door to some war crimes trials.”
And possibly his extradition? Can’t imagine them letting him free in the U.S., although if you ask me, anybody who was tortured by the U.S. gets out of jail free, immediately.
So yeah, it’ll be interesting.
[re=457868]blinky_twinkie[/re]: Me no thinky. Thanky! We should always through justice, the Constitution, all that librual crap, out the window because we’re afraid of nutjobs with bombs. They scary!
[re=457893]V572625694[/re]: “throw,” I shoulda sed.
Here’s a thought.
National Lottery
$20 per ticket
$10 per ticket for military families
$5 a ticket for direct relatives of people who were killed on 9/11
Winner gets to flip the switch on ol’ Sparky.
Whatever is left over after we pay for all of this gets applied to the national debt.
[re=457851]Naked Bunny with a Whip[/re]: You forgot to mention the B line, through which we all learned that underneath his snobbish, lecherous veneer, prosecuting attorney Dan Fielding has a heart of gold as he helped Roz find understanding with her converted Muslin brother!
[re=457846]SayItWithWookies[/re]: Let us hope so. The peoples given powers of sovereign action is not often believable.
[re=457888]user-of-owls[/re]: Muslims are voodoo + magic x The Forty Hadith. They’re like Captain Planet in comfortable shoes. If you don’t think they can swim, well, bad news for you next time you’re frolicking at the beach, brotha.
[re=457892]Sharkey[/re]: And possibly his extradition?
No, I think Dubya should be tried right here.
I can imagine the squawking when the yahoos learn he’s getting health care, for free !
Actually, he prefers to go by his nickname: Kalif “Muslim Freedom Defender” Mohammed.
[re=457868]blinky_twinkie[/re]: If memory serves, the 1993 bombing was an attempt to blow up the WTC. But since they did it with a truck or van or something in the underground parking lot, they weren’t very successful.
[re=457879]Downtheroadapiece[/re]: They like the Constitution – it’s just those Amendments that they do not care for. Especially the 6th one.
[re=457901]magic titty[/re]: User-of-owls does not frolic. I gallivant, cavort and, when the spirit takes me, gambol. Still, point well taken. Khal looks like he could strangle me with his beard.
[re=457879]Downtheroadapiece[/re]: They want to uphold the constitution, and are upset that Obama is ignoring the rider to the Bill of Rights that reads, “These provisions not applicable to Muslins.”
[re=457873]Extemporanus[/re]: Clever fucker. Managed 1 – 1 of 1 for Hambalufagus.
[re=457913]vitamins taken helmet on[/re]: For the most part. The teabaggers also have problems with the base Constitution’s habeas corpus requirements, and the “no religious test” clause.
Some strip club owner with mob ties is gonna gun down KSM during the prison transfer. That way, no one will ever find out that Dick Cheney personally flew the planes into the towers, using a Futaba brand radio control from Hobbytown.
[re=457920]JMP[/re]:
But if you really want to light up a teatard, get them talking about the 13th amendment.
You can start the conversation by saying something like, “Damn, I bet having a house negro was some good times. LOL”
[re=457892]Sharkey[/re]: Well, probably not. Pretty much all the valid information we got out of KSM, confession included, was before he was put under duress. Torture will certainly be an issue here, but basically any judge besides a hastily-appointed Osama Bin Laden is going to at least put him away for life.
The only variables here are how much the defense attorney can damage the reputations of the CIA, Bush, Cheney, and Yoo. My guess is “pretty badly.”
[re=457913]vitamins taken helmet on[/re]: Oh, we kiss you. For what else speeds affection.
[re=457927]Magnus Maximus[/re]: I’M JUST A PATSY! ALLAH AKHAB! UUUHHHFFFF!
TwinkieBlinkie is right! If we don’t destroy the Constitution and all we believe is right and fair then the terrists will win!!!!!!!!
[re=457946]blader[/re]: That, and the 16th (yay taxes). Really, I think the only Amendments the teabaggers like are the 2nd, 10th and 21st; well, we can all love the 21st at least.
[re=457951]Sleeves[/re]: Google translator is not your friend.
They’re gonna be begging to be brought back to Gitmo.
[re=457909]CapnFatback[/re]: Damn, I’ve having a bad HTML day.
Kalif “Muslim Freedom Defender” Mohammed, yo. As soon as I figure out a Muslim-related acronym for Nitzer Ebb, I’ll be all over that too.
[re=457987]user-of-owls[/re]:
Blast you. Blast you for your blue bourgeoisie divination.
Those eyes…THOSE EYES!!!!!!
[re=458020]CapnFatback[/re]: Don’t feel bad. Word Press has been fucking with my italics for days now, I believe.
I’ve always found BTK to be the most troubling acronym. Makes me thing of Burger King flame broiled Whoppers.
GILF was far more troubling than MILF or KSMILF, IMHO (CF @GovSarahPalin, @GitmoKhalid, et alia)
None of it will matter once he makes his getaway wearing the faces of the decapitated guards as masks while he waltzes out of the courthouse.
I’ll bet you get sick of Cuban food after all those years. Now he can experience NY’s finest Cuban-Chinese food. Restaurants will deliver everything to you in NY, include drugs to a prison cell.
MAYBE THIS TIME AMERICA WILL BE READY!!
I love the whole teabaggish “Since we don’t think he can be safely prosecuted in NYC, let’s not prosecute him, at all (i.e. keeping him in Gitmo, indefinitely)” Really, fuck the conservatives and the shreded Constitution they rode in all.
Oh, and it looks like everybody’s bloodlust is back on display, this year. This is a good year for the Death Penalty; it should be Time’s Person of the Year. But, remember, capital punishment is only for the retarded, the black, and the Muslin. Though I’m never surprised, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how quickly we turn back into Romans when it comes to the issue of “justice”. The only solace I find in all of this is that I live in a state that’s outlawed the death penalty for like, forever (1846), and has defeated every attempt to get it reinstated.
