The communist liberal abortion-loving ACORN Stalinist (”moderate conservative”) Republican candidate in the NY-23 special congressional election, Scuzzlebutt, has dropped out only a few days before the election. She was sick of getting yelled at by wingnuts. More likely, though, is that the RNC applied severe pressure on her (”Just get your quit on, baby”) so it could claim a Conservative Party victory as its own. I live in NY-23 and I’ve noticed an uncomfortably high number of Hoffman signs in the yards. I will dutifully cast my vote for Bill Owens, but I’m afraid that there are too few like-minded people in this redneck hellhole. Despite generations of destitution and job losses that preceeded the recession, the morons of NY-23 will always vote for the Repugnant good ol’ boy. It’s all about God, guns, and gas.
