Does anyone here know how to use computers? We want to create an animated .gif of Nancy Pelosi’s reaction to shouty Joe Wilson last night, but how the dickens does one do THAT? So if one of you lovely humans would like to help your Wonkette produce a very very important stock photo for years to come, please make a (nicely cropped) animated .gif of Nancy Pelosi’s MONSTROUS HEAD from :15 to :17 in this video. I think somebody might’ve forgotten to tell Ms. Pelosi that she would be on camera for the entirety of the speech. It looked like she was chewing cud for most of the address; as it went on I was concerned that she might actually pick her nose.
By the way, and not for nothing, but I need to get this snark out very badly: in the pic of Douchebag Wilson yelling EWWWWWEEE LAAAAHHH! his head is very orange and his hands are paler than his head.
If there’s one thing I can’t stand more than asshole douchebags, it’s vain asshole douchebags who get spray tans.

All’s you have to do is capture the individual frames and then load them into an automated .gif maker. There’s free ones all over the internets.

I really like Joe Biden’s head shake after the “You Lie!” yell. I’ve often used that myself with retail clerks of various types. Only mine is a little slower on the left-to-right…

The more I think about it, the more I believe Wilson was bribed by the Democrats, or at least offered sex with an Argentinian energy lobbyist (or whatever the family values politicians are shtupping this week), to act like an idiot. The speech wasn’t intended for the wingnuts, because they’re, well, nuts. It was intended to convey to the sceptical middle that the Democrats are being reasonable and open-minded but determined, but if the Republicans are going to be hysterical and blindly oppositional, the Democrats are just going to have to be bipartisan without them. Wilson played right into that.
