Monstrous Hell-Rat Lanny Davis Lobbying For Pro-Coup Honduran Business Group

Barack Obama is terrible! You know what the many Honduran BUSINESS leaders in cahoots with the universally condemned and unrecognized Honduran power-grabbers and U.S. apparel corporations want? A simple return to Law and Order, in Honduras, under this new thug government! So they have hired one of earth’s worst specimens, Washington lawyer/lobbyist/commentator/liar Lanny Davis, to “convince Congress that it should support rather than oppose the military removal of President Manuel Zelaya from office.”

They’re also well aware of Davis’ more famous role as a long-time “Clinton Insider,” and since Hillary Clinton is Secretary of State… well maybe they could work out a little sump’m sump’m, should the Administration back away from its “total condemnation”-like view of the coup.

“This is about the rule of law. That is the only message we have,” Davis told The Hill, before returning to his argument that Hillary Clinton should be given 77 percent of Michigan’s full-voting delegates, still.

  1. “This is about the rule of law.”

I have no words. Oh, wait. Yes, I do. Asshole.

How do you get a lawyer off the ledge of a tall building?

    Yell “JUMP!”

Lanny Davis is a great US American… whore.

I know that’s a picture of Lanny Davis, but all I can think is “yellow pantsuit”, “strident” and “cankles”..ahhh, good times!

  6. V572625694 says at 1:37 pm, July 15th, 2009

Lanny should be as successful in propping up the Honduran junta as he was in helping Bill Clinton avoid impeachment.

  7. Noodle Salad says at 1:37 pm, July 15th, 2009

Dear Lanny: STOP RUINING DEMOCRACIES EVERYWHERE. Sincerely, the Earth.

  8. x111e7thst says at 1:37 pm, July 15th, 2009

Did the new Honduran “foreign minister” just refer to Obama as a cane chopping field n******* or some such? Cause that might make Lanny’s effort a somewhat quixotic quest.

Pesky things, these coups that take place in the modern age, what with all the technology and instant communication. It takes real balls to be pro-coup these days, which is how we now know for certain that Davis is not a Democrat.

  11. charlesdegoal says at 1:42 pm, July 15th, 2009

The situation in Honduras is delicate. Perhaps Gov. Palin should be sent down there to try and bring about a settlement. At worst, it will provide the natives with comic relief from their trouble. Lanny Davis could carry her bags.

  12. Naked Bunny with a Whip says at 1:43 pm, July 15th, 2009

Lanny Davis also sez: “Support Mussolini. It’s good for business when the trains run on time.”

It wasn’t a coup, it was a free trip to Costa Rica. And who wouldn’t enjoy a free trip to Costa Rica?

  14. shortsshortsshorts says at 1:45 pm, July 15th, 2009

Clinton WON Michigan? WHO WILL SHARE THIS IMPORTANT NEWS?

SOMEBODY NEEDS TO TELL “MURPHY” ABOUT THIS IMMEDIATELY. HOPEFULLY WE CAN START A WEBSITE THAT COMPLAINS AND MOANS A LOT LIKE COMMITTEE FOR JUSTICE THAT WILL ACTUALLY NOT PROVIDE REAL INFORMATION THAT PEOPLE WILL CARE ABOUT. AT LEAST WE GOT THE COMPLAINT OUT THOUGH.

IT SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED THAT CLINTON WON 800% OF ALL OF THE “CAUCUS” STATES, AS THEY ARE NOT LEGITIMATE STATES. OBAMA LOST THE PRIMARY BY A LANDSLIDE. WALNUTS IS TOTALLY GONNA WIN THIS THING IF WE DONT STEP UP AGAINST THE SECKSISM.

  15. Pilate says at 2:04 pm, July 15th, 2009

The question you should all be asking yourselves is why is MSNBC not supporting the military junta? IS IT BECAUSE OF SEXISM? FOR SHAME CHRIS MATTHEWS.

  16. Is this about ‘rule of law’ because democratic government is so unfair when it doesn’t go your way? Doubt that the junta heroes had to work hard to convince him. On the up side, there is a chance that all PUMAs will go to Honduras, right?

  17. snideinplainsight says at 2:05 pm, July 15th, 2009

    Lanny - that’s kind of a girl’s name, isn’t it?

  18. Lionel Hutz Esq. says at 2:05 pm, July 15th, 2009

What will be fun is watching Sean Hannity shove his nose deep up Lanny’s ass agreeing with every argument he gives in favor of the Honduras Junta, when they are the same arguments he used to use to defend Clinton.

  19. 4tehlulz says at 2:07 pm, July 15th, 2009

President Manuel Zelaya is an inadequate black man.

  20. x111e7thst: Yes, he did call Barry some kind of sugar cane plantation worker. Then he had the brilliant idea to hire Lanny Davis. Therefore common sense is better than democracy.

  21. hobospacejunkie says at 2:13 pm, July 15th, 2009

I’d like to give Zelaya a 36oz baseball bat & then bring Lanny into the room & dare him to say “this is about the rule of law.”

  22. gurukalehuru says at 2:14 pm, July 15th, 2009

Bad enough to be owned by China, which is the most populous country on earth and has a stable, if tyrannical, government, but to think we might be owned by the totally illegitimate government of a small, Central American banana republic (they do grow bananas there, don’t they?) is downright embarrassing.
Don’t make me put your ass out in Denver, Lanny.

  23. the bf says at 2:14 pm, July 15th, 2009

  25. The Cold Sea says at 2:23 pm, July 15th, 2009

He did a great job with the Hillz campaign. Hondo should get ready for the return of Zelaya..with a vengeance.

  26. Lazy Media says at 2:29 pm, July 15th, 2009

OK, the coup is bad, mmkay? But what about Zelaya’s insistence on holding a referendum to extend his term, AFTER the Honduran Supreme Court had ruled he couldn’t? Sounds like this was as much a counter-coup as a coup-coup.

  27. x111e7thst says at 2:36 pm, July 15th, 2009

Lazy Media: The Honduran Constitution probs has some provision for legally removing a president from office. Most do. I doubt it includes putting him on a plane in his pjs though that would be a pretty funny thing.

  31. Brendan M. says at 3:37 pm, July 15th, 2009

Lazy Media: He insisted on a referendum to determine whether the Honduran people wanted to vote on whether or not to vote on Constitutional reform in November, including changing the single term limit. That was not exactly a coup. Zelaya’s real sin was to challenge the dominant aristocracy in Honduras with minimum wage and worker’s rights laws. He may be an asshole, but he wasn’t a new Castro or even a Chavez.

  32. dijetlo says at 3:43 pm, July 15th, 2009

They need to give the country back to the nice democratically elected gentlemen before we send Brother Mark “Love Machine” Sanford down there to bang the rest of their women.
We aint kiddin’ Honduras, he’d do it.

  33. doloras says at 3:58 pm, July 15th, 2009

Lazy Media: You might actually want to read the referendum question before you start repeating junta misinformation - http://themoderatevoice.com/37619/about-that-referendum-in-honduras/

  34. Well, Davis is correct. The coup plotters RULE, so they ARE the LAW. Ergo, it is important to uphold their rule. Closing down the press, kidnapping and beating up their opponents is the coupster’s rule, so it is the law. QED.

If President Z were allowed to stay in the country and get political or legal due process for trying to go ahead with nonbinding referendum that violated the law (or maybe it didn’t) then this would get in the way of coupster’s RULE which is against the LAW.

See, it all makes sense. Especially as told and commented on in the U.S. media by Rich Important Celebrities.

  36. I can do without blood bananas. Screw Chiquita.

Let them suffer the sanctimonious sanctions of the entire world. With 70% poverty in Honduras (a 10% drop since Zelaya), what’s a few more percentages gonna hurt? If they didn’t mind 80% for over 20 yrs, then they shouldn’t mind 90%.
