WIN OF THE AFTERNOON: In the middle of this monster Palin Chaos Theory post, commenter-person Alaska Girl reminds us why Sarah Palin’s latest “I’m gonna take my ball and go home” move is standard Wasilla Snowbilly behavior: “She didn’t finish her term as mayor, stepping down to run for Lt. Governor. She didn’t finish her term on the petroleum board ethics panel, she resigned in protest and then ran for Governor. She doesn’t want the office, she just likes running for office. She doesn’t want (can’t actually) accomplish anything, she just wants to talk about it.”

get real: Yep. Took her (from what I can tell on WP) five years and about nine semesters to get a bachelor’s. Nothing wrong with that, per se, but she probably could’ve been out in four if she hadn’t kept transferring all the damn time.
Freelance Minion: One comment on the blog of a local politician was “at least she doesn’t use a teleprompter like Obama”. That certainly changes my mind about Princess Sarah.

Some people like living beyond their means, others like aspiring beyond their IQ. I’ve known several people who enter an institution - say, a college or four, a mayorship, or a governorship - and immediately think to themselves, “I can do better than these morans. They should be worshiping me as their leader!”
Except they can’t do better. And when they’ve managed to repel everyone in said institution thanks to raw cutthroat ambition, they have no choice but to bail and move onto another unsuspecting organization because “the ungrateful peons have turned on them.”

That’s pretty typical of the bush/cheney style repug - all they worry about is staying in power, giving no thought to actually performing the duties required of the office/position. It does my poor battered heart good to see the GOP reaping what they sowed.
