Happy Hours exist for one reason: your day at work sucked, you can’t face going home yet, and you need some sort of strong alcoholic beverage to bring you back to life. (Interns, this doesn’t include you — your summer work experience is supposed to be meaningless). Restaurant gods, recognizing the glory that is employment, lovingly provide alcohol at discounted prices right after work … and then jack up their prices when you want dinner. But some benevolent restaurants revisit the Happy Hour at 9PM.
If you ever need a 9PM pick me up, try:
- Ceiba: $5 cocktails and half-price food from the bar menu from 9:30PM-close, Monday-Saturday.
- McCormick & Schmick’s: Various food specials, including $2-5 burgers, tacos and pizza, Monday-Friday from 10:30-11:30PM.
- Old Ebbit Grill: All raw bar items are half off from 11PM-1AM.
- JR’s Bar and Grill: Various specials on rail drinks and pints daily from 9PM-close.
- Garrett’s Georgetown: Sunday-Thursday $3 beers and other drink specials from 9PM-close.
- Duffy’s: On Saturday nights they offer $3 drafts and $2 cans of select beers from 10PM-1:30AM.
- Morton’s the Steakhouse: From 9:30-11PM they have specials on bar bites including spinach dip and mini burgers.
