He divides the American people into interest groups, see? Price backs this up with a very Populist real-world example: when hedge funds and i-bankers and other rich, senior bondholders were unwilling to take cuts in order to save the massive company Chrysler, DID BARACK OBAMA DEFEND THEM? Goddamnit this pisses me off. Lincoln did not unite the country. He fought a bloody war to keep the country together and end slavery. He was working towards re-uniting the country and opposing the Radical Republicans who wanted to punish the south for the war, as evidenced by the quote from his Second Inuagural that this douche bag tries to appropriate to his purposes. But a racist traitor murdered him before he could do any of that, and the successor.
I’m pretty sure Lincoln would’ve incarcerated hedge fund traders without habeas corpus, though. He’s gone, though, but that’s no reason to keep us from doing it.

So Price is criticizing President Obama because Obama doesn’t stand with the hedge fund managers who wouldn’t sacrifice some profit in order to keep jobs. And Price does stand with those folks. So Price would rather see a bunch of people lose jobs so that a few people could make exorbitant money rather than simply outrageous money, and he calls that standing with all Americans. I’ll bet this argument would go over really well in Detroit. I think Rep. Price should go up to a Chrysler plant and give them some of his tough love — they’d appreciate his bracing honesty.
Where’s the message? All I see is some old white dude.

Not only that, Socialist Obama actually gave Chrysler $7 billion bucks in bailout money that will be a *bankruptcy writeoff*.
See- that Obama is into Corporate welfare (which is kind of socialisty in a corporations are a person kind of way), but drew the line at $7 billion.
In other news…. we have no money for Health Care, which the GOP opposes, because then we would have no money for Wall Street bailouts with no strings attached!

OK I finally watched it through. I feel very wistful now over the plight of unfairly maligned hedge fund executives, who are fellow citizens just like we are. I never understood until now that they simply love freedom so much that they need more of it than the rest of us do. DustBowlBlues: Our outdoor cats sometimes go on safari this time of year - and stay away for several days. One left for about 4 weeks and then showed up. Another time he got stuck in someone’s garage for about a week. If he/she is not used to going outside, be sure to check under decks, etc. - could be just hiding! Good luck!!!

Johnny Zhivago: I’m not going to completely despair until the sun’s been out for awhile. She’s an outdoor cat (who is supposed to sleep indoors) who’s gone missing before, but has also come back with chunks of fur missing (maybe she ran into a Royal Canadian Governor) and since she’s 13, I’m worried the old girl has slowed down and let the coyotes or bobcats get her.
On my walk, however, I did find a very light colored calico cat. Went to see if it was okay and it took off at warp speed and disappeared. Probably a barn cat. Around here, they do birth control for cats the Sarah Palin way: let ‘em breed and depend on the elements to kill off the excess.

Over Memorial Day weekend, I had to listen to a relative explain that Obama was evil for letting Chrysler go bankrupt (the poor shareholders!) shortly after he explained that Obama was evil for doing anything to help the financial crisis because he should have just let events unfold.

What I saw in the clip is chilling, to borrow a phrase. A GEORGIA Republican, that in itself is an oxymoron. Georgia seceded because Lincoln was elected president and here is a Georgia Congressman talking about Lincoln, the uniter. I doubt my GAR ancestors, including one that spent the last 4 months of the War of the Rebellion, as it is properly known, in Andersonville would be Republicans, today.
