We all know that the Republicans control Twitter, but it looks like they’re working on Facebook now. It would be astonishing, though, if the failed committee responsible for losing more than a dozen Senate seats in the last two elections were to get 2 “supporters” on Facebook. Especially if they are threatening to break them.

ManchuCandidate February 25, 2009 at 4:26 pm

What do those decimal places represent? Underaged kids?

WadISay February 25, 2009 at 4:27 pm

Can somebody be enemied on Facebook?

Guppy06 February 25, 2009 at 4:27 pm

You know who else uses periods instead of commas in their digit groupings? Europeans! Especially the gay-marrying socialist kind.

shortsshortsshorts February 25, 2009 at 4:27 pm

Roland Burris is currently more popular than the Republican party.

Steele is really transforming the party.

I think they will have more luck on littlechoirboys.com

Scarab February 25, 2009 at 4:39 pm

The GOP should stick to their Craig List personals.

illnoise February 25, 2009 at 4:39 pm

You can tell they really ‘get it,’ with that avatar that they printed out from a word document, scanned, saved as a PNG at too low a resolution, then stretched out and saved as a low-quality JPG.

Does no one realized Obama won the election with 5% personality and 95% having the only decent graphic design in presidential election history?

norbizness February 25, 2009 at 4:40 pm

Steele already joined, but unfortunately he contributes only 0.6 (three-fifths) to the total using Republican ethnocalculations.

The Neoskeptic February 25, 2009 at 4:44 pm

have you guys looked at the #tcot stuff? it stands for “top conservatives on twitter” and it is a veritable minefield of brilliance. http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23tcot

twingonaut February 25, 2009 at 4:47 pm

[re=252811]The Neoskeptic[/re]: My Q is how does one become a #tcot? I mean other than simply putting a #tcot in one’s tweet.

Breaking supporters at those numbers? They have definitely been working hard to do that. Color me impressed.

[re=252764]ManchuCandidate[/re]: Decimal points are for European elitists! Go back to France with your metric system and what-not, Republicans!

HopeyDope February 25, 2009 at 4:57 pm

I think they need to stick with the Twitter. Those tiny bits of yammering are truly the limit of their followers’ attention spans. Facebook has way too much to pay attention to.

snideinplainsight February 25, 2009 at 5:07 pm

It’s a good thing the have a “Translate to English” button on that #tcot page.

snideinplainsight February 25, 2009 at 5:10 pm

” stix1972: RT @RyanJGill: RT @BATCOTJindal makes a comeback!! http://bit.ly/AOmrq (expand) #tcot #sgp ” That’s what I always say.

Well in all honesty I am probably 0.023 percent republican. So maybe that’s why they allow fractions.

Beg to differ, Nixon had some pretty sweet graphic design too.

I think I’ll sign up, just so I can concern-troll on their wall: “Bobby Jindal?! Really? Are you sure?”

Maybe they could get ACORN to sign up some supporters.
