Ah, the Weekly Standard, where every hour is evil hour.
Especially because they know that if Justice Ginsburg was (God forbid) too sick for the justicing, Obama would just appoint some secret muslin or other. That’s not change they can believe in.
Look at it this way, the Weekly Standard hasn’t had much to be happy about for the last few years.
1) The war they advocated didn’t work out so well. Still waiting for the Iraqis to throw flowers and not hand grenades.
2) The economic “philsofy” that they loved so much has kinda imploded.
3) The fizkal responsibility they preached has about the same effect as their family values plan. Something about being held responsible for bankrupting US America doesn’t sit will with the Weakly Stanturd folks.
4) Many of their pols have been discovered to be in-the-closet-head cases or kiddie diddlers. And the only guy who hasn’t loves eating shit and wearing diapers.
5) Seems a lot of folks view them as the intellectual equivalent of retarded rhesus monkeys who spend most of their time jerking it, throwing feces at each other or eating said feces.
If they want to gloat about cancer then so be it. It’s about the only legal outlet of joy for the Weakly Substandard. However, I do pity the poor kids they anger diddle this weekend.
Get David Denby, evaluator of all things snark, on the case…. Because he’s one sensitive guy.
[re=237946]ManchuCandidate[/re]: You give them too much credit. Even a retarded Rhesus could craft an economic policy that bore more relation to the real world.
I like the article on the same page containing Tom Coburn’s Stimulus Package comments, e.g.:
“How about $500 million for State and local fire stations? Where do you find in the Constitution us paying for local fire stations within our realm of prerogatives?”
Yeah. Burn, baby, burn.
[re=237965]S.Luggo[/re]: We should revert back to the old days when fire stations were privatized. It is better for the economy. Those with the mark shall retain help, those with no mark shall BURN.
Help me, Peggy Noonan! You’re my only hope!
[re=237974]shortsshortsshorts[/re]: Oh, you mean like medical care is handled now?
[re=237989]Red Zeppelin[/re]: Oh no no. That would be too evil and wrong.
Dear Jesus,
Why couldn’t it have been Scalia instead?
Amen.
If they’re gloating about Ginsburg having cancer, that just screams “sad, abysmal loser”. So even though they’re exhibiting awful behaviour from, ya know, a moral or something (oh yeah, Christian! That’s it…) context, I find a certain bleak satisfaction in their so behaving.
So even though they’re exhibiting awful behaviour from, ya know, a moral or something (oh yeah, Christian! That’s it…) context
Not just a Christian context–I believe that this is a fine example of what my father-in-law would call “a shandeh.”
In other journalistic news, NY Times unable to properly use the word “bong”.
So can we go back to mocking Novak now?
[re=238227]SayItWithWookies[/re]: Mocking Novak is always in style.
