Um, why no Seattle party? Or do we get our own post? Or are these not Wonkette-specific parties?

  2. Tommy Says Soooo says at 4:24 pm, October 30th, 2008

Antonella is the way hot one who couldn’t sing. Party at Pitch-a-Tent all night long, woo hoo!

  3. Gopherit says at 4:26 pm, October 30th, 2008

Those Arizona parties suck except for the one hosted by Gabrielle Giffords. It takes some serious guts to throw a campaign party on a university campus. They are going to have so many gate crashers trying to score free booze, it will be unmanageable.

  4. Oh to be back in Arizona when that not-so-native son gets his ass handed to him. Good people of my fair hometown, raise a kiltlifter for me.

  5. Sheesh. What a bunch of elitist, whore-o-ganzas! I’ll be sucking down bourbons with all the rest of the drunken denizens in my neighborhood at Marx Cafe! Might even have one of their always-overcooked burgers!

  6. AppalachianWino says at 4:32 pm, October 30th, 2008

Wytheville, Va.: Matterhorn Lounge, Malin Drive. Election night. Barbie burnin and moose jerky makin @ midnight

  7. What are the scientologists doing? Holla back.

  8. The White Crow says at 4:35 pm, October 30th, 2008

I wonder if Larry Craig will be at the Busboy and Poets party.

  9. tunamelt says at 4:35 pm, October 30th, 2008

There will be a party in my pants. Select commentators invited. RSVP required.

  10. SayItWithWookies says at 4:35 pm, October 30th, 2008

AnnieGetYourFun: Washington state’s in the post from yesterday. Kev-O-Tron’s Seattle one is in there.

  11. el smrtmnky says at 4:37 pm, October 30th, 2008

FEMA: probably having a wienie roast in mojave, waiting for the mothership

  12. Once again the Pac NW gets disrespected. I’ll be in SE Portland, handing out free cups of champagne in my front yard (if Hopey wins, otherwise I’ll drink it and collapse in rage in my back yard).

  13. Botswana Meat Commission FC says at 4:40 pm, October 30th, 2008

    “Busboys and Poets”…

Really? Was “Lit Majors and Squeegee Boys” already taken?

  14. qwerty42 says at 4:41 pm, October 30th, 2008

what time is the storming of the winter palace?

  15. Kev-O-Tron says at 4:42 pm, October 30th, 2008

AnnieGetYourFun: Are you bringing any guests to the Lava Lounge next week? Most of the bar’s regular patrons will be in attendance. They’re a sordid lot. I should know, I’m one of them.

  16. el smrtmnky: who did they endorse anyway? besides l ron hubbard.

  17. I’m hosting a loaded gun and bottle of Jameson lock-in at my place. Once you come in–no leaving until a democrat wins the presidency. Could be 4 hours, could be 4 years–roll the dice if feel lucky.

  18. Monkey: I’ve yet to have even a reasonably fun time at Marx Cafe. The food isn’t good, so it’s not worth eating there, and the Raven’s more fun for drinking.

  19. facehead says at 4:50 pm, October 30th, 2008

Sorry but the brunette looks like she’s got a loose turd in her bikini.

  20. friendlynerd says at 4:52 pm, October 30th, 2008

C’mon, Philly, represent! We need a second dose of joy once our World Series glee wears off.

  21. AnnieGetYourFun says at 4:54 pm, October 30th, 2008

SayItWithWookies: Oh, I missed that! Darn feed. Sorry, I withdraw my whining comment, Juli.

  22. facehead says at 4:55 pm, October 30th, 2008

Wow, Planned Parenthood is throwing a shindig in NYC — finally I can vote and get an abortion at the same time.

  23. There’s an election-watching event at my house on Tuesday. And there may be liquor involved.

  24. CorkPopper says at 4:55 pm, October 30th, 2008

Lovely video to go with this post. Ah, to live in the days when curvy and slightly jiggly were sexy, instead of the cruel unforgiving standards of hotness today.

  25. Gopherit says at 4:56 pm, October 30th, 2008

tunamelt: You never wear pants, tuna. I mean……

  26. Joey Ratz says at 4:58 pm, October 30th, 2008

Gopherit: Good point. I think I’ll stick to having a pint or two at Gentle Ben’s or someplace like that.

  27. Jukesgrrl says at 5:04 pm, October 30th, 2008

Gopherit: Free booze in Tucson?? I’ve been to some of these Democratic parties in Southern Arizona. They won’t even have free parking. The Dems will be trying to crash the frat houses.

  28. he seems ok says at 5:07 pm, October 30th, 2008

The Friars Club in Manhattan is having an election night party, but you would need to find a member to bring you. Pat Cooper needs a date !

And a jacket is required for men. The one they provide as a loaner is not as nice as the one from the Seinfeld episode.

  29. dasNeonlicht says at 5:19 pm, October 30th, 2008

Botswana Meat Commission FC: The name “Busboys and Poets” is a reference to Langston Hughes, whose poetry was discovered by another poet (Vachel Lindsay) while Hughes worked as a busboy in Washington, DC. The restaurant has a pretty liberal bookstore attached to it, and they display local artists’ work.

  30. No parties in Atlanta? I suppose I shall have to dance or something.

“Now is ze time on Shprockets when ve dance!”

Also, Juli, I didn’t know you starred in old black and white videos. Nice bikini.

  31. Lisistra says at 5:20 pm, October 30th, 2008

“but all proceeds go to Katrina recovery” I can’t believe they are still doing fundraisers exclusively for Katrina. Spread the charity a little will ya. I guess they haven’t heard about Rita or Ike yet.

  32. Hairy Reed says at 5:28 pm, October 30th, 2008

facehead: And since you’re not keeping it, booze it up!

  33. tunamelt says at 5:40 pm, October 30th, 2008

Gopherit: That is why the party is actually “crumpled up on the floor of my bathroom.”

  34. palmerdawg says at 6:14 pm, October 30th, 2008

No, no i will stay home. I refuse to party with these bitches, why you may ask? no thongs! they’re wearing grampa draws. *sigh*

  35. A recent survey by the University of Sydney showed that 80% of Australians, were they able to vote in the US election, would cast their ballot for Obama. A recent study by me shows that about 75% of my mates are chucking a sickie (that’s Australian for “taking a paid sick day on false pretences”- and yes, we have much better sick leave entitlements than you guys) on Wednesday (that’s Tuesday night your time) and gathering to drink heavily from early morning in breathless anticipation of an Obama victory. DON”T LET US DOWN!!!

I know it’s a little far for most of you to come but hey, our dollar’s plummeted against the greenback so at least it’ll only cost you about 60% of what it would have four months ago.

  36. Yeah! That’ll show them clowns at the Rendezvous!

  37. InsidiousTuna says at 6:37 pm, October 30th, 2008

    tunamelt: RSVP in the mail

  38. mamandesfilles says at 6:48 pm, October 30th, 2008

What?! No Chicago action?! No one wants to get blown (away) in the Windy City? Dang!

  39. Lazy Media says at 6:54 pm, October 30th, 2008

mbprice: Damn, do all y’all motherfuckers live northwest? I guess I’ll have to haul my cold, tired ass up there from Capitol Hill SE.

  40. Jukesgrrl says at 7:50 pm, October 30th, 2008

CorkPopper: Those chicks in the video are probably the PUMAs of today.

  41. spontaneousabortion says at 7:57 pm, October 30th, 2008

Dave J.: I thought there would have been more events in Communist Portland. How far south are you talking—Woodstock, or closer to the Buckman area?

  42. rocktonsammy says at 8:17 pm, October 30th, 2008

    Jukesgrrl:
    GILF’s

Being a remote-control-control-freak (esp after learning my lesson during CNN’s 04 Bob Dole/Bob Woodward Election Night bore-gasm), I’m hosting a soiree of my own. Mostly pitchers of booze (mmm, sangria!), but also frozen pizza masquerading as classy food. Here are the recipes, if you’d like to do the same: MMM.
