“‘So Sambo beat the bitch!’ This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.” How dare sexist lipstick dog Sarah Palin call Hillary Clinton a “bitch.” [LA Progressive]

  1. Just hating on people that took four years and one college to get a degree. Actually Barry transferred from Occidental in LA to Columbia in NYC. I can only imagine the schools Caribou Barbie traded up to go to the University of Idaho– the fighting Wide Stancers!

  2. That this dollop of frozen pond scum thinks she can criticize or demean Barry or his accomplishments is hilarious. But if she keeps it up, I’m gonna fuck up her face. I’m a pacifist by nature, but don’t go hating on Hopey.

  3. This is so out of context, she was simply recapping the plot of ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’.
Everyone knows that she always refers to Obama as ‘the coon’.

  4. We heard her at (what I’m guessing?) is her most eloquent when she spoke before the world the other night. I am shocked that sitting amongst her “peoples” this was actually as bad as it got.

“Sambo.” Ugh. Betcha a coke she was at a Denny’s.

  5. Is there some deity I can pray to for an audio recording of something like this, plz?

Suggestions welcome: Zeus? Vishnu? The Inuit master of the caribou, Tekkeitsertok? I’ll pray to any and all of these fuckers to get just one soundbite!

  6. When I first read that I thought Jim wrote the quote as a joke. Oh Palin, you chose the wrong Dems to fuck with. Don’t you know we’ll cut you?

  7. She was referring to her pit bull. I hate when quotes are taken out of context. I’m votin’ for a darkie this year, so I know this is true. /s/Bill O’…

  8. [re=87709]HarrietB.[/re]: The Sambo story is an old one. He has a fight with a tiger and turns him into butter over a pair of shoes. Sambo became known for how resourceful black boys can be when faced with danger. He also became synonomous racial slurs. It was an old movie theatre cartoon which can be seen on You Tube. My dad was a projectionist back in the 40’s and actually had a copy of the cartoon. It’s apparently based on an old African fairy tale but has been used in such a disgusting way that it’s become part of the stuff of hateful legend.

  9. I was just thinking that nothing was going to get me angrier than her trying to ban books. I wonder what’s going through Lieberman’s mind as he’s trying to play Henry Higgens to this Buchananite with tits. Audio recording would be sweet.

  10. A reliable source in Alaska tells me that Palin hates the Eskimos because they killed the seal bull she used as her favorite sea mammal sex partner. This source asks not to be named, but states there is a herd of Palin-spawned Pinnipeds on Alaska’s southern coast.

  11. She’s not fit to lick Hopey’s boots. I bet her eenie meenie miney moe still has its racial epithet, too (Catch a n***** by the toe)–are we sure she wasn’t bussed here from the 50’s? How can such ignorance & hatred be supported by the Repubes? This is low even for them.

(By the way, thanks for removing teh hot-pink seizure-causing sidebars!)

  12. [re=87722]snig[/re]: What’s going through Holy Joe’s mind is as follows:

“WALNUTS chose this bitch over me? She’d better carpetbomb Tehran when she wins or I’m going to bust a nut cap in her face.”

  13. Clearly “Dickless Cheney” is the best name pun. I knew someone who had that moniker on an internets messageboard once.

I believe she probably uses a worse word than Sambo when she’s REALLY away from the madding crowds.

  14. At this point, she’s just cartoon villain evil. What’s going to come out soon, that she skins baby polar bears for a coat and bathes in their blood in order to keep her youthful appearance?

  15. I heard that when she meets a Native she raises her right hand and says, “How”…pauses a second, adds “ doin’?”, then cackles like she just tasered a seal.

  16. [re=87743]loquaciousmusic[/re]: I should say that the montage is of both African American actors and actresses who were forced to play subservient roles and of white folks in blackface. You know, kind of like the Republicans’ dream movie.

  17. [re=87694]BigDupa[/re]: From wikipedia: Palin spent her first college semester at Hawaii Pacific College, transferring in 1983 to North Idaho College and then to the University of Idaho. She attended Matanuska-Susitna College in Alaska for one term, returning to the University of Idaho to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism, graduating in 1987.

  18. [re=87694]BigDupa[/re]: PS- Bitch didn’t even get a BA, she got a BS. At my undergrad university that’s what the kids who were too lazy to take a foreign language got.

Also, I assume I’m more qualified to be VP since I’m a lawyer and shit.

  19. [re=87705]jerryw[/re]: “Dickless Nixon.” Yea, I’m gonna end up plagiarizing you in real life for the rest of the night. Just a heads up.

  20. Wow. I am almost the same age as trophy candidate, and I have never heard this word before. Somebody, anybody, please reassure me they can’t possibly win this election.

  21. I know how to get Mother Sarah to be pro-choice. Get precious Bristol knocked up by a black guy–she’d have Bristol at the clinic so fast that time would actually reverse, ala Superman.

  22. She must be able to turn that racist shit on and off depending on who she’s with. After all she’s married to an indig…indigen… Yup’ik Eskimo. [hic]

  23. I have no doubt that she said that and that she is as despicable as we all think she is…but come on…that “article” was a fcuking joke. How many “unnamed sources” can you have in one document before it feels like you’re reading an intelligence report on the presence of Iraqi WMD.

  24. No need to playa hate on the yup-yup. Macacawitz fucked up his shoe-in in one of the reddest of the red states, pigfuck VA, big time. And look where that shitheel’s now.

Yup’s a gift. Enjoy the bitch while it lasts.

On a completely unrelated yet kinda race-related note, would it not be awesome to see Obama and Biden in one of those Bacardi and Cola retro seventies commercials? Jesus I’m nutting already and we haven’t even heard about yup’s anal sex with her husband’s biz partner that’s comin monday.

  25. [re=87749]somelegalbitch[/re]: 1985-88 were the years when Barry (post-Columbia undergrad) so shamelessly was “community organizing” in Chicago prior to Harvard Law where he apparently excelled. Is this the period of her bio where she competed in the Alaskan beauty pageant circuit?

  26. [re=87764]Reefpilot[/re]: George ‘Macaca’ Allen deserves his place in political ignominy. He was so stupid or arrogant he actually said that crap KNOWING he was being filmed. A man that dumb shouldn’t be anywhere near the presidency…oh wait.

  27. this will only serve to make the Conservative Base LOVE her more
… the Liberal Base HATE her more

and everyone in-between to turn their heads and not look – per yoosh

  28. [re=87774]xrastone[/re]: Some random thoughts: She definitely has it in for Stephen King, although I think “Cujo” reminds me of someone…who could it be? But seriously, “My Friend Flicka” — is there a bestiality scene in there that I’m not remembering? I can’t believe “Heather has Two Mommies” made it’s way into a library in Wasilla, AK. This woman is scary; she’s a fundamental right wing zealot. I thought Bush was crazy…

  29. If it’s time (it is) Palin should be forced to step down. That’s disgusting stuff, two insults in one–vile, vile language and I don’t blench easily. I knew she had it in her…

  30. [re=87774]xrastone[/re]: A dictionary? I can understand why someone would object to Mark Twain, William Shakespeare, William Faulkner and Harper Lee… they are revolutionary writers who refashioned a world in the dark. But a dictionary!

  31. [re=87699]The Incomparable Tiny Valdez[/re]:

For a minute there, I thought you said ‘fuck her face.’ Aha! That explains why more men than women polled by ABC News (Washington Post, 9/6/08) viewed her more favorably (54% vs 47%). (Do they poll hermaphrodites? Could get some interesting feedback!)

  32. “No wonder the vast sea of white, cheering faces at the Republican Convention went wild for Sarah: They adore the type, it’s in their genetic code. ”

    Genetic code!?

I’ve heard this sort of logic used before. It is a bit strange that an article reporting Sarah Palin’s bigotry would in turn use such language. Shameful.

  33. “Why do I know they’re true? Because everyone who isn’t aboriginal or Indian in Alaska talks that way.”

    That sounds convincing.

  34. How long is it going to take for a Caribou Barbie, or Dickless Cheney, if you prefer, sex-tape to surface? I’m hoping no later than the middle of next week, but October 30 would be ok too.

  35. Well, if the Internet cites an anonymous waitress, the story must be true! Therefore, I shall see your unsourced claims of racism and raise you a healthy dose of misogynistic slurs. What a great moment for the progressive movement!

  36. Folks, even “Eskimo” is kinda racist, a broad brush way to dismiss the whole group of people. If you talk to them, they tend to either refer to themselves as Alaska Natives or by their actual Tribal name (Yupik, Inuit, Aleut, etc).

Sarah may have an attractive face but she’s the worst kind of ugly.

  37. [re=87799]irisheyes[/re]: No she didn’t, that list is bogus. Even Daily Kos has taken their story on it down. Some of the books were even written after she left the Mayor’s office. It is false, just like the story about her child being her daughter’s and the one about the court records ytesterday. Just like all those bogus pictures of her and of her daughter. Just like this one probably is also.

I don’t think I’ve seen any candidate so maligned by ugly, false, rumors. The backlash is going to get McCain elected.

  38. [re=87808]Canmon (the Inadequate)[/re]: Never? Really? Isn’t there a candidate in this race who’s been accused of being a Muslim terrorist? Or was that just my imagination?

  39. [re=87808]Canmon (the Inadequate)[/re]: Hey, I think she brought this all down upon herself. Or Walnuts did because he didn’t think it was necessary to vet her. If she’d delivered a somewhat gracious speech (being grateful, thankful for the opportunity, bio, outlined POLICY differences, laid out what Repubs would actually do to help with bread/butter issues) instead of making vicious personal attacks, I think a lot of this anger towards her would not exist.

  40. My old fella has his eyes tested today, and the optometrist mentioned he had sold out of Sarah Palin style eye glass frames, and is back ordered for two weeks for more. WTFF?

  41. [re=87816]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: And seriously, who the F*(&K does she think she is belittling Obama? She was the mayor of the meth capital of AK & an 18-month governor of said state. She needs to sit her ass down & shut her pie hole….

  42. I hope we all fully realize the cynicism in the “Country First” bumper sticker McCain has fastened to his campaign trailer, and the sickness that applauds and totally unqualifed, unvetted candidate that comprises nearly 50% of our country. It’s a revelation a minute, but Palin’s been closeted. We need Tim Russert to get back to earth for his curtain call. Not good stuff folks.

  43. [re=87808]Canmon (the Inadequate)[/re]: I agree with Msr. Grumpe, TexasCowGirl and especially Texan Buldoggette: Her speech (the one she read, anyway, was so full of lies, misrepresentations and just plain bullshit that she brought this upon herself. She may have opposed the Bridge to nowhere, but not until she got her money from the feds; her dismissal of Barack as a community organizer–in fact her dismissal of community organizing as a laughable idea; her objection to giving accused criminals any constitutional rights–everything she said that night was objectionable. She is NOT qualified to be on this ticket any more than anybody in this discussion–probably much less so than most. She made personal attacks and spat upon the ideas of millions–and not in a gracious way, either. She was a bit presumptuous getting up in front of the RNC (and the world) for her first speech and acting as if her shit don’t stink. The speech McCain had written for her would have sounded different coming from a seasoned veteran of the political wars, and may even have had some bite. But coming from her was like watching one of those talking baby commercials. The mouth moved, the words came out, but there was no “there” there. She was a mouthpiece and nothing more. A pretty one. A woman. Those last two are the only qualifications she has, and that reflects the absolute cynicism of McCain and the rest of the party in choosing and accepting her. They know she’s not qualified, but they’ll never say it (at least not when the mikes are on).

  44. [re=87829]Undeterredbyreality[/re]: Well said, Mr. Undeterredbyreality. I’m with you 100%. Problem: Could be some 50 million Americans are in love with this canary.

  45. [re=87808]Canmon (the Inadequate)[/re]: Are you completely fucking high?

In’88 Spy Magazine printed a feature that George Bush Sr. had a long-term mistress (probably true, but not that well-sourced), in ’92 the Republicans alleged (Bill) Clinton had communist dalliances in his youth, Rove and Co. claimed McCain had an illegitimate black child, Dick Morris has impugned Hillary w/ bizarre and false shit for years, and *for the past 20 fucking months*, the right has wrongly alleged Obama is a Muslim, a radical, a token, and the National Review, in a particularly inspired bit of fable, intimated that Obama was probably Jewish on his mom’s side.

We get it: you’re still cranky Hillary lost. You made your point months ago. Shut fucking up.

  46. [re=87838]MISTAHCOUGHDROP[/re]: A percentage, perhaps a majority or perhaps a minority, of said group will wake up in some metaphysical morning after the drunk and revisualize the beast they finger-fucked the night before, and they will be ashamed, and they will know… that they just had anti-jesus thoughts to a woman who said yup-yup and was more white trash than their worst drunken, sawed-off neighbors, and that’s something… that’s something “L’BRAL McCain” just cant take away.

  47. [re=87845]soymocha[/re]: Here’s an Obama supporter for Canmon! *smile*

The single-anonymous-source stuff is just way too thin to run with. The article was extraordinarily thin overall. One of the supports was ‘i know it must be true because everyone in AK talks that way.’

Do I believe it? Mostly, but it’s just not worth spreading without hurting your own credibility.

  48. [re=87808]Canmon (the Inadequate)[/re]: You have got to be kidding me? This same woman accused Hillary of whining. Get over this crap. I still have people telling me Obama is a Mooslam (their pronunciation)and that he is the Anti-Christ. So he has a good relationship with the media, ya think he may have earned it?

  49. [re=87850]WonkaBee[/re]: In soymocha’s defense, he didn’t say he was going to spread this rumor. He just rebutted (with facts) that Canmon’s fanciful, inaccurate belief that Mother Sarah is the most persecuted politician ever on the face of the earth.

  50. [re=87829]Undeterredbyreality[/re]: Preach on, brother, preach on. She came off not as someone who is auditioning for the role of VP but as somebody who was auditioning for a role as Sean Hannity’s fill-in. Her speech was nothing but contemptuous snideness delivered by somebody with no credibility to be snide about anyone.

  51. [re=87850]WonkaBee[/re]: Oh, yeah, I agree w/ your larger point. I don’t think we should be running w/ thinly sourced personal attacks. Not at all. I just think Camnon’s argument is battered in lameness then fried in crap: the Palin reports are *not* malicious in an unprecedented way.

  52. [re=87859]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: I got the impression Canmon wants to see Palin persecuted with something that will stick. But I should let Canmon speak for Canmon…

  53. [re=87870]soymocha[/re]: Sorry, couldn’t tell by your moniker. Also by your frequent use of the “F word”, I just figured you were a dude. (I still try not to use the F bomb–unless I’m drunk or I’ve stubbed my toe.)

  54. [re=87873]WonkaBee[/re]: I’ve seen a few of his posts. He’s not a happy camper. I don’t know his political viewpoint but it frequently rings a discordant note compared to other posters on Wonkette.

  55. Palin is a red herring meant to distract the MSM away from Bush=McCain.

I know she’s great fun to snark, but this is a walking talking distraction like the flag amendment, the gay marriage amendment, immigration, and swiftboating. Of course she’s said and done stupid things. And btw, she’s a babe with moxie. Gag. Bush=McCain.

  56. [re=87811]hatlesshead[/re]:

I’m pretty sure it’s parody. A caption for The Gipper:

“STR Fact File:Ronald Regan (sic) wrestled a dog to death when he saw it attacking an old lady in the street. Of course, President Regan (sic again) wept tears of compassion that the beast should have died, but how else could he have stopped it savaging a defenseless American citizen?”

  57. [re=87882]DoctorCulturae[/re]:

‘zactly! While everyone’s running around trying to get interviews with her, complaining about access, devoting stories, devoting rumors, analyzing, trashing there’s some dirty work being done behind the curtains.

  58. And we’re….surprised by this? I’m only surprised that Caribou Barbie didn’t say it officially, on the record. At least, not yet, that we know of, though there’s probably a good chance we’ll hear about similar comments from her sometime soon.

  59. [re=87874]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: No worries. It’s hard to tell on the intra-web. Re the profanity, you’re the niece my aunt wishes she had. (I mean that in a good way.)

So far, my favorite comment on Palin comes from the O-man himself:

“Listen, if they want to work the refs, they are free to do so. I think the public can make their judgments about this. The notion that any questions about her work in Alaska is somehow not relevant to her potentially being vice president of the United States doesn’t make too much sense to me. I think she has got a compelling story, but I assume that she wants to be treated the same way that guys want to be treated, which means their records are under scrutiny. I have been through this for 19 months. She has been through it, what, four days so far.”

Wrestled a polar bear when he was a midshipmen, just because… it was there. Why? Because of the zeal of queen and country.

  61. [re=87874]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: I would like to see diminished use of the B word when referring to the Lady Miss Sarah. or any lady actually

  62. It has the ring of truth to me. If you hang out with rural white people, as I have, you will notice a lot of trash dropping out of their mouths when they feel “safe.”

  63. [re=87808]Canmon (the Inadequate)[/re]: Time magazine, as we all seem to know, didn’t have a list, but Time magazine stated that she looked into banning books. I feel about books the way the NRA feels about guns. However, the gun folks can take care of themselves. Logistically, the literate population is more fragile. It’s going to be easier to pry my library card from my cold dead hands. What books are you OK with people banning? There is something very wrong with people who identify public school teachers and librarians as the enemy.

We’ve had tall tales about politicians as long as we’ve had elections. But Time magazine is not the National Enquirer, and the majority of what they’ll print has some basis in fact. There are plenty clearly concrete facts about Palin to raise serious questions. I am not suggesting she be shot through the lungs. I am saying she is not fit to be a fragile 72 year old heartbeat away from leader of the free world.

  64. Lest We Forget: From McCain’s speech to a room full of loving, caring conservatives…

Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?
Because her mother is Hillary Clinton and her father is Janet Reno.

Chelsea was fourteen at the time.

Conservatives – it isn’t going to work this time… We can play the game if you force us to – and from Palin’s attack screech – it looks like the slings are only getting warmed-up.

  65. [re=87829]Undeterredbyreality[/re]:
“her objection to giving accused criminals any constitutional rights–everything she said that night was objectionable”

This is really interesting when you consider that McCain was technically an accused criminal when he was getting his ass whipped by the Viet-Cong for FIVE AND A HALF YEARS, ALAN! I mean did she forget that WALNUTS! was a POW even though he reminds us every fucking day? Is that what Vlad the Palin wants us to do to accused criminals? Torture and beat them for FIVE AND A HALF YEARS, ALAN!

  66. [re=87956]Melvil Dewey[/re]: Thanks for the update. Frankly, I agree with you. This seems like decent vetting on the reporter’s part and something that could actually hold water. I sincerely hope that the MSM gets hold of this thing and puts it front and center.

Every day, I see something more frightening about this woman. If this country is so stupid as to buy into this ridiculous circus act, time to start researching a new residence.

  67. In the years between 2045 and 2050, white people will officially become a minority group in this country. Sometime before that happens, the Republican party (in it’s current form, at least) will have won it’s final election. Demographically, it will be a different country – one hostile to a national electoral college victory for the Republican ticket. When the children of Latino immigrants born in this country are old enough to vote, they will not be voting Republican (for the most part) because of a multi-generational memory of the way their parents and grandparents were treated by the party. This, in addition to the 40-45% of the white vote that the Democratic ticket can assume, and the vast majority of the black vote, adds up to an insurmountable lead for any Democratic, or ‘non-Republican’ tickets.

What this means is that the McCain/Palin ticket will probably be one of the last three or four Republican presidential tickets that are viable.

If you sense desperation in the right wing, it’s because of this realization – they are feeling the approaching marginalization, and it terrifies them.

And that is why you see red-meat candidates like George W Bush and Sarah Palin being put forward with the willingness to do anything, literally anything, to get them in power. It’s a desperate, clawing, death rattle of a political party.

  68. I’m new here, and you all totally saved my sanity during the RNC. I didn’t think it could get worse…but there it is. “Sambo”? Sending out psychic deathwave in 3…2…1

  69. She used the word Sambo? How old is she? Wasn’t that word used like, two generations ago? Besides, they don’t have tigers in Alaska. Or butter.

  70. [re=87696]Hooray For Anything[/re]: Yes, yes, yes, yes, pretty please, a thousand times YES, let’s hope Obama/Biden trounce McCain/Palin. As for the two GOP candidates, it’s really hard to decide which is the nastier of the two.

  71. [re=87759]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: Somewhere this morning I saw a link posted in a comments section to a Youtube video from a young black guy who says Bristol’s forthcoming baby is his. If I can find it again, I’ll post the link on this thread.

  72. [re=87745]The 3-Legged Man[/re]:

I heard that when she meets a Native she raises her right hand and says, “How”…pauses a second, adds “ doin’?”, then cackles like she just tasered a seal.

I suspect she would do that when she meets someone from the Indian Sub-continent as well.

  73. [re=87924]DogSniff[/re]: Actually, she was 18 at the time, and had just graduated high school. Still a cruel pernicious joke, reeking of misogyny — and not an off-the-cuff affair like when he suggested we kill Iranians with cigarettes; this was a prepared speech. But Chelsea wasn’t 14 when he said it.

  74. I see in Real Clear Politics today the GOP convention bounce and the Palin interest converting to higher poll numbers:

National Gallup Tracking Obama 45, McCain 48 McCain +3
National Rasmussen Tracking Obama 48, McCain 48 Tie

  75. [re=88092]MISTAHCOUGHDROP[/re]: I’ll be able to give you some thoughts after I finish banging my head against the table and crying myself to sleep.

  76. [re=88106]S. Cullen Bonz[/re]: And Devo told Sarah Palin to stop using “Mongoloid”
and the Ramones put a cease and desist on Cindy McCain using “I Wanna Be Sedated”.

  77. I think Obama/Biden have to hit back a little harder – and that wouldn’t be difficult.

Democrats have always taken “the high road” in the last two elections while Repubs take the low, and then cheat to the end.

Time for Dems to play the Repubs game because I’ve come to realize most Americans (I’m afraid) are on the low-road mentality. They simply “don’t see” the benefit to the high road.

We’d like to believe differently – but it isn’t so.

Start talking about McCain’s past and Palin’s and if they cry foul – just reply with just about any speech given at the RNC. Say – we learned you guys are playing a different game – and we’re finally going to join.

They can’t leave it up to bloggers…

  78. Sarah Palin is the warmest, bravest, most wonderful woman I have ever known…
Sarah Palin is the warmest, bravest, most wonderful woman I have ever known…
Sarah Palin is the warmest, bravest, most wonderful woman I have ever known…

  79. xrastone, that’s actually a generic list of frequently-banned books in the US; as far as I can tell, the whole mess started when some twit copied the list to the comments on a librarian’s blog that simply quoted the Time article about Palin’s flirtation with censorship. The list was questioned and quickly debunked within the same comments thread, but by then, the “list” had been re-posted all over Teh Intarwebz. (Among other problems with the list, it would have been slightly impossible for Palin to have tried to remove Harry Potter books from the library in 1996, seeing as how the first Potter book wasn’t published until 1998). At least two subsequent comments in the thread spat back the list as though it were gospel.

The worst part of the kerfuffle is that, once the list was debunked, any number of conversative blogs triumphantly announced that the whole story of Palin’s inquiries into censoring the Wasilla library had somehow been disproven.

Incidentally, the reason that dictionaries are frequently on banned-books lists is that most modern dictionaries have tended to include definitions of obscenities. I guess book-banners believe that if those words weren’t in print, children would never learn them.

  80. [re=88004]sanantonerose[/re]: I’m 40, and to me Sambo was the name of a restaurant chain (Sambo’s actually) where the food sucked, but they had the cool drawings of a black kid that hung out with a tiger. I always thought it sucked that I couldn’t have a pet tiger. Anyway, back to my point, which was, um, that I’m going to have my fifth G&T of the evening anddamn something about the snowbitchy. Oh well. Snark on, Wayne!

  81. Have I got this straight? Sarah Palin is a pit bull and it’s Hillary that’s the bitch?
Don’t fundamentalists know anything about biology or gender?

  82. Hey Guys – McCain and Palin lost, thank God! Palin is a hot media item right now, but it’ll never last. It’s over – yeah! It’ll be very unlikely that Palin will turn out to be anything be a very weird foot note in election history. Good ridance!
