Her staunchest supporters give a collective 'meh'People keep on wondering why Hillary Clinton can’t convince her 18 million ceiling-cracks to get with the program and support Barack Obama. Well, it appears that these angry, bitter old white people are so full of insane rage and hate for everything that they don’t even really care for Hillary Clinton — they just hate her a little less than Obama — so they aren’t going to be bossed around by that gal.

The Observer’s Steve Kornacki suggests that many primary voters were never really into either Democratic candidate — they just hated the other person so much that for the first time in their adult lives they heaved their be-stirrup-pantsed asses off their sagging couches in the middle of Oprah and drove in their foreclosed Geo Metros to their polling station so that the other candidate wouldn’t win.

Ever since Obama clinched the nomination, all the fun’s gone out of it. And so Clinton voters have by and large returned to their natural habitat, in front of the teevee, eating the last unpopped kernels of popcorn out of their microwave bags. If Hillary Clinton tells them to vote for Obama, they’ll all just say, “But that meerkat show is on Animal Planet,” and then they’ll go back to resentfully scrapbooking.

Obviously the bitters who are defecting to McCain are doing so over policy differences… because Hillz and Walnuts! are EVER so much closer on policy than she is to Hopey… Any suggestion that it has to do with not wanting to vote for *shhhh* teh blacks *shhhh* is just hate speech and misogyny…

loquaciousmusic August 22, 2008 at 10:54 am

There were a lot of women in white ’92 Metros and lime green spandex pants at my polling place during the primary. I wonder who they were voting for?

kellygrrrl August 22, 2008 at 10:54 am

by the time this deal is done, The Clintons will have a following of about 50 bitter cult members. Maybe they should apply for recognition as a Religion.

when the HOPE / SARCASM 08 tour gets rolling, the Clintons will be a distant memory

Many bitterz find stirrup pants too confining, and have switched entirely to warm-up suits, with elastic waistbands, of course

AngryBlakGuy August 22, 2008 at 10:56 am

…does this mean that no one can say “why cant he close the deal” anymore?! Because if they do I’m gonna go Atilla the Hun(or some other historical blood thirst conquer) on their asses!!!

american mutt August 22, 2008 at 10:58 am

I think we need to fake a huge event just to please the bitters. Let’s hold a fake convention and pretend Hillary is prez of the world and then make sure none of the bitters own radios, tvs, or computers for the next 8 years.

So the electorate the Democrats whipped into a frenzy isn’t smart enough to make a reasoned comparison of the remaining candidates and vote in its best interest? So nothing’s new — there are just more of them registered to vote now. So Mr. Nuanced Articulate Man has gotta start appealing to the Steak-ummms and simple answers crowd. Okay, some advice, Barry — learn to bowl, and don’t pick Biden.

It’s a sad fact that because Clinton appealed to older folks in general, a lot of them are going to be senile — it just goes with the territory.

Don’t hate them. They need help crossing the street.

wonky35 August 22, 2008 at 11:09 am

Early this week the DNC sent me an email recruiting bloggers to write poison-pen letters against J.Corsi’s book “The Obama Nation,” so I then naturally read the book, and I found that it tells the long-overdue truth about Obama. The DNC’s e-mail tacitly admits this; if the book’s assertions were untrue, Obama would simply provide proof of the truth instead of hiring or recruiting poison-pen bloggers. Instead, Obama is using his usual strategy of aiming his bloggers to barrage against any who seriously criticize him. This time though, his strategy may well stimulate interest in “The Obama Nation,” and awareness of Obama’s disproved claims about himself. Obama’s failure to provide documented proof refuting Corsi’s research is unspoken admission of the book’s truths.
.
Also, Obama refuses to provide a physical certified, stamped copy of his birth certificate to prove he is legally eligible to be a candidate for U.S. presidency. As yet the Federal Elections Commission has not investigated this; and if Obama is unable to provide the certificate, many will believe his candidacy is not legal. Here again Obama’s failure to show documentation gives authority to Corsi’s assertions

wonky35 August 22, 2008 at 11:14 am

Wolfy, You’re absolutely right in your belief that Senator Clinton can be a wise and beloved president & her supporters (and everyone else) will listen carefully to her address. Naturally we’ll pay close attention to the votes cast at the Convention.
And we’ll certainly do the things she says provided those things are in accord with what we’ve learned about her, Barack Obama, the DNC & McCain during and after the primaries. We could never in good conscience and belief support or vote for Obama, whose closest chums & ties include anti-Americans such as Louis Faraquan, el-slsl, or pastors Wright or Pfleger–A man is known by the company he keeps. Also, despite Obama’s claims to the contrary, he was raised as a Muslim; this is documented by various school records, etc. Also of course Obama is completely unqualified to be president and his basic beliefs and philosophy conflict with America’s principles. All evidence indicates that he, his wife and closest confidants do not like America nor most Americans, and what he would do if elected is fear-provoking. We could never trust an Obama with our future. This would be true even if Hillary Clinton, who is supremely qualified, had never entered the presidential race. Obama is not qualified and his philosophy, beliefs, associates, etc., all make him a danger to us and to America. Accordingly if Obama is nominated we will vote for & support John McCain, who is qualified, has repeatedly put his life on the line for America, & will assuredly do what he believes best for her. Thank you again for your comments.

He later went to Harvard Law School where he met Michelle Obama, known in inner circles as THE BLACK MAMBA, and they bonded over their hatred of whitey and love of killing infants. I will feel so secure knowing that he is sitting in the Oval Office singing “We shall overcome” with Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louie Farrahkhan, Mr. Rezko, and a million blackman marchers. So good to see that he’s not going to be racist or anything. No, black racism doesn’t count. Becuzzzz…….? Well, just becuzz.

Hmmmm, maybe another drink would help me to stop thinking.

[re=66488]Anon124816[/re]: Shit, why stop there? How about you just keep drinking until you stop breathing? That would be awesome.

What’s this I hear about Obama being attacked by PUMA’s? Is there video? Did he campaign on a butte in the New Mexico desert again?

Doesn’t that imply you started thinking first?

There are over 70 million democrats in this country, you stupid fuck.

What’s that in the air?

Toxoplasmosis, mid-day cosmos, and desert-dry nethers, the scent of failure.

Someone point “her” back to hillaryis44 so hang out with the rest of the regressives/GOP handlers.

[re=66471]Anon124816[/re]: “Yeah, The Bitch DID win the popular vote.”

If “the popular vote” means “i’m going to cry bitter tears about florida and michigan after Hillary signed off on not counting them, but i’m going to simultaneously refuse to accept caucus votes”, then you’d be correct.

And totally dishonest, but hey that’s par for the course with the die-hards.

[re=66169]PeteJayhawk v2.0[/re]: I know. I never get to be first. But I still knew those bitters didn’t like Hillary, they just hated Barry because he has a terrible case of teh black.

CivicHoliday August 22, 2008 at 2:55 pm

Whoa, what is going on here today? I’m trying to take a nice relaxing break from work to get my Snark on, and what do I see? Trollers! sheesh, people, don’t you know you are ALWAYS the cock-blockers and buzz-kills at every damn party?

TexasCowGirl August 22, 2008 at 2:57 pm

[re=66488]Anon124816[/re]: WTF are you talking about? Maybe you shouldn’t have anything to drink because you sound like you’ve had quite enough booze already. Bitter booze that is. Bitter booze that tastes like piss and swill.

And btw, were you ever this concerned about whether or not all of our white presidents were racist or not?

sorry, shakespeare geek.

and much like polonius, ‘brevity’ and ‘soul’ and ‘wit’ can be read as an ironic comment on angry bitterz.

Wow, looks like the mega-hostile ObaMorons have taken over Wonkette too! With their characteristic, mindless name-calling, fascistic intolerance and total lack of humor, they stand out in sharp contrast to the ostensibly calm and intelligent image that Obama attempts to project. But they worry me more than anything else about Obama.

If Obama is so reasonable and thoughtful, then how come his follows are so fanatically hateful, intolerant, humorless and fascistic? I think that it’s sort of like good cop, bad cop. Obama can act all nice and reasonable, then leave all the attack-dog name-calling to his legion of little baby Dobermans. Woops! I don’t mean to insult Dobermans! THEY are at least intelligent.

Responses to name-calling attack dogs: There may be 70 million Democrats, but Hillary got a majority of the people who voted in the primary. Period. It doesn’t matter of the little Fascists in the DNC “disqualified” us voters in Florida. We still voted. And of the people who voted in the primary, Hillary received the MAJORITY.

As far as the stupid red-state caucuses go, who cares. That’s another argument. That has nothing to do with the FACT that Hillary received a MAJORITY of the votes that were cast in the primary.

The line about taking another drink was something called a “joke”. Did you ObaMorons ever hear of something called a “joke”? No, I didn’t think so.

I still don’t understand this fanatical HATRED that the ObaMorons have toward Hillary. It’s kind of weird since, after endlessly calling her every name on earth, they castigate her for not supporting Obama. Why should she support Obama? What did he ever do for HER? What did he ever do for the Democratic Party? There’s a good chance that he will lose the election, which is a MOMENTOUS accomplishment. Mickey Mouse could win this election, if he ran as a Democrat. But Obama?

Oh yeah, blame it all on Hillary. Blame if all on “racism”. It has nothing to do Wright, Ayers, Rezko, Farrakhan, Jackson, Sharpton, et. al. It has nothing to do with Obama being totally and completely inexperienced and unqualified for the job. No. The ONLY reason that people refuse to vote for Obama is “racism”. Yawn.

Anon124816 August 22, 2008 at 4:39 pm

Don’t get me wrong. I actually LIKE Obama. But he is WAY too inexperienced and too much of an unknown quantity to be sitting in the White House. Actually, he is a total and complete ARROGANT FOOL. The PERFECT SOLUTION for everyone would have been a Hillary/Obama ticket. 1) It would obviously have been good for Hillary. 2) It would have good for Obama, since it would virtually guarantee that he would be elected President in 2016, after 8 years of Billary. 3) It would have been best for the Democratic Party, since it would have given them 16 years of the White House. 4) It would have been best for the USA, because we would have had the proven experience of Bill Clinton in the White House to repair the economy and the nation.

But no. Arrogant FOOL Obama has to jump the gun. He does not need to “stew” as the Vice President. He ALREADY knows it ALL. He does not need further training for the most important job in the World. After all, he was a SENATOR for a year. What more does he need?

Yeah, there is still a CHANCE that Obama will win the election. But even then, he will be so GROSSLY unprepared for the job, that the next 4 years will wind up being a total disaster. Maybe in 2012 he will have had enough on-the-job training to get re-elected. But maybe not.

Hillary/Obama was a million times better ticket. Too bad the Democratic Party is now run by imbeciles. The odds are now favoring McCain. As unbelievable as that may seem. ARRRGGGHHHHH (Dean scream). Over and out.
