OK, what the hell are you even...
You’ve seen the drunken Bush falling down the stadium steps, you’ve seen the sweaty drunken Bush baffled by the volleyball gal’s ass, and you’ve seen him making terrible faces while his daughter cringes. You maybe even saw a similar shot to this one, over at Gawker’s nice collection of Bush In China Foto Funnies, but this is something special, so very special and retarded. TWO-MINUTES LATER UPDATE: It’s a crappy photoshop. But funny! [Democratic Underground]

HA! Reminds me of this one:
http://thephoenix.com/OutsideTheFrame/content/binary/bush%20upside%20down%20book.jpg

Oh George. Poor poor George.

slavojzizek August 12, 2008 at 7:04 pm

Keith Olbermann had this photo last night, but with Bush holding the flag backward, not upside down. Are you sure this isn’t photoshopped?

AngryBlakGuy August 12, 2008 at 7:06 pm

…unfortunately I’m going to have to defend “W” on this one. This photo is photoshopped the real pic has the flag backward not upside down. Now someone poor me a mug of whiskey while I look for the sleeping pills.

Every sailor knows that an upside-down American flag is a signal for “SOS”, which is why we should have been flying it that way for the last eight years.

blueruin August 12, 2008 at 7:08 pm

I can’t help but to have felt kind of sorry for him these past couple of months. What a tragic buffoon.

NotUrEvryDayWEzl August 12, 2008 at 7:08 pm

George Bush is a Paultard!?!?!?! What?!?!

BadNewsJack August 12, 2008 at 7:08 pm

That’s our president. God I need a drink.

tunamelt August 12, 2008 at 7:09 pm

Yeah, that’s Photoshop. Look how effed up the edges of the flag are.

SpecialHorse August 12, 2008 at 7:09 pm

Fake, the left edge is a giveaway.

KYJurisDoctor August 12, 2008 at 7:09 pm

Give me a break, the picture of the flag looks “photoshop”ed! OsiSpeaks.com

blueruin August 12, 2008 at 7:09 pm

That’s not the same picture, I guess he managed to hold it up wrong twice.

Ken Layne August 12, 2008 at 7:09 pm

Yeah, it looked too good to be true. So I actually zoomed in on it, in photoshop, and it was just a quick ‘shop job. I do love this shot of Laura and Barbara, though.

PoliticalGraffiti August 12, 2008 at 7:10 pm

seems that lady in the back was getting a kick out of Bush’s drunken antics

carerer August 12, 2008 at 7:11 pm

The reason I know this is doctored is because that’s how his daughter always looks at him. Is Kissenger dating Dr. Laura Schlessinger?

Volumptuous August 12, 2008 at 7:11 pm

Although doctored, the woman on the left wasn’t, and her face is saying “oh GOD, what the fuck are you doing?”

AngryBlakGuy August 12, 2008 at 7:12 pm

…is that Henry Kissinger in front of him?! I have never wished for catastrophic yet highly improbable disaster more than now.

Volumptuous August 12, 2008 at 7:12 pm

[re=58169]Volumptuous[/re]: left = right. you know…

FlownOver August 12, 2008 at 7:12 pm

Hey, two wars, two war criminals, ONE PHOTO!

WhatTheHeck August 12, 2008 at 7:14 pm

The more important question is, why is Kissinger there?
That guy’s ‘political advice’ had the U.S. quagmired in shit every time.
Like the neocon advisors of today.

spencer August 12, 2008 at 7:15 pm

I didn’t know Kissinger could travel to a foreign country without being arrested for war crimes. Maybe his plane will have to make an emergency landing in New Zealand.

Texan Bulldoggette August 12, 2008 at 7:17 pm

Can you imagine if BO had been holding the flag backward or upside down? Hannity, Limbo & O’Reilly would be in an orgiastic meltdown of indignant self righteous blubber: “he hates America”, “he wouldn’t hold the Muslim flag that way”, “why doesn’t he just wad it up & pee on it?”.

The Incomparable Tiny Valdez August 12, 2008 at 7:19 pm

Who is that very Republican woman on Dr. Kissenger’s left? It’s clearly not his wife. And didn’t Nan Kempner die?

loquaciousmusic August 12, 2008 at 7:24 pm

[re=58154]AngryBlakGuy[/re]: ASU! ASU!

The Incomparable Tiny Valdez August 12, 2008 at 7:25 pm

Actually, now that I look at it, it is already one of the iconic photos of the 21st century. Like a Robert Capa or a Cartier-Bresson. Have you ever seen some surrealism-of-the-everyday partnered with that level of assholism in one frame?

SayItWithWookies August 12, 2008 at 7:56 pm

“SOS! My wife gives lousy head and Jewboy up here wants me to bomb Cambodia! And the opium here tastes like horseshit!”

american mutt August 12, 2008 at 7:57 pm

You couldn’t tell by looking at it that it was photoshop? Pff. Lame.

masterdebater August 12, 2008 at 8:29 pm

He looks so…French.

Wee Mousie August 12, 2008 at 8:41 pm

It must be photoshopped. Bush looks relatively sane.

Relatively.

Sabre_Justice August 12, 2008 at 8:52 pm

I feel sorry for you Yanks…til I remember you voted for the guy. TWICE.

WonderWomyn August 12, 2008 at 11:34 pm

[re=58241]Sabre_Justice[/re]: We DIDN’T, vote for him the first time Gore won, and then Bush stole it! After that it was clear that “voting” didn’t count anymore.

If McCain wins I’ll KNOW this is the case.

Where are the “people” who support McCain? I don’t know a single one!

Oscar Folsom Cleveland August 13, 2008 at 12:31 am

[re=58174]WhatTheHeck[/re]: The Secret Service always place fake bodies – often dead people and frequently U.S. Iraq war dead dressed as civilians – around the Precedent and his Missus (and the Cheney Fuhrer and his family) in order to protect them from Democrat Jihadist terrorist attack.

In this case, Herr Doktor Kissinger, and his fake trophy wife Nancy (“a philanthropist”), weren’t busy and agreed to come along as human shields against likely Tibetan and Uighur violent acts of aggression. (They had been vacationing on their Plum Island, New York estate but were more than happy to break away from Herr Doktor’s experiments for this sentimental return to Pekin.)

The Kissingers were heavily drugged, according to State Department SOP, so that in the event of an attack they could be swiftly shipped out of the country on one of the bin Laden family private jets.

ladymacbeth August 13, 2008 at 12:36 am

[re=58241]Sabre_Justice[/re]: i suspect very few people here — possibly no one here as in WONKETTE HERE — voted for him in 2000 or 2004.

you think it’s bad for you? try living with that wanker as your ‘leader’ for 8 years.

Oscar Folsom Cleveland August 13, 2008 at 1:09 am

Geo Jr is such a prankster and skilled diplomat – why don’t we pay off Kucinich and keep Shrub on for four more years as Class Clown, our national mascot?

If the recession and war and global disruption really are only mental, what better pick-me-up than a happy Shrub and his alcoholic, homo pranks?

In this instance, our Precedent knows rightly that the flag of Georgia is simply the Murikan flag reversed. He was only trying to cheer on the Chechnyan rebels to glorious victory over the Tibetan swim team. Give the guy a break, how ’bout it?!

The 3-Legged Man August 13, 2008 at 2:42 am

Kissinger’s wife is very well preserved, although I think the taxidermist probably could have given her a softer hairstyle.

LittlePig August 13, 2008 at 5:35 am

Funny – when I saw the original news photo, I had the same thought: “Too bad the dumbass isn’t holding it upside down to indicate the condition of the country”.

Drunk, stupid and embarrassing is no way to go through life, Mr. President.

capitol-hillbilly August 13, 2008 at 7:59 am

i want what he’s having …

Darehead August 13, 2008 at 8:26 am

[re=58345]The 3-Legged Man[/re]: At least the taxidermist took her horns off.

Vintage Nancy K from Time, Jun. 21, 1982:

“Last winter when she was accompanying her husband to Boston, where he was to undergo heart-bypass surgery, a pro-nuclear energy activist named Ellen Kaplan accosted the couple at Newark International Airport, baiting Henry Kissinger with the question, “Do you sleep with young boys at the Carlyle Hotel?” Quick as a flash, Nancy grabbed Kaplan’s neck and said, “Do you want to get slugged?”"

sanantonerose August 13, 2008 at 8:53 am

WHY IS KISSINGER STILL ALIVE?

YellowScientist August 13, 2008 at 9:07 am

This is the one moment where I wish John Howard was still PM, taking Kevin’s place with this merry band of jackasses and war criminals.

Doglessliberal August 13, 2008 at 9:49 am

[re=58165]Ken Layne[/re]: and the Kissingers are clearly wax effigies.

DangerousLiberal August 13, 2008 at 11:04 am

[re=58170]AngryBlakGuy[/re]: Jeez, I can understand why the War Crimes Tribunal found it so hard to find Radovan Karwoakd(aw, fuck it) but Henry is right there in plain sight! He’s not even an herbalist. Go get ‘im, boys.

momus August 13, 2008 at 11:36 am

Without Henry there would be no Olympics in China. Remember that he convinced Dicky Nixon to talk to the Chi Comm enemy. Something a Democrat can’t do today because its appeasement.

thefrontpage August 13, 2008 at 12:02 pm

Please run more pictures of Barbara Bush.

georgepwebster August 14, 2008 at 11:33 pm

Barbara Bush. Doesn’t look like either of them. Can we see a photo of the Bush’s Midland milkman?

Eric Arthur Blair August 17, 2008 at 2:59 pm

Section 3(i): When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag’s own right, that is to the observer’s left. When displayed in a window, the flag should be displayed in the same way, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street.

Section 4(a): The flag should never be displayed with the union down except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.

Furthermore, the Shrub has been known to autograph flags, violating Section 4(g): The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. Unfortunately, the Flag Code does not have any criminal penalties attached.

Eric Arthur Blair August 17, 2008 at 3:00 pm

That was from The Flag Code, Title 4, United States Code, Chapter 1
