Management threatened to tell Bob Novak Doris’s route to work. That got her ass back pronto.
Word is that Nancy Pelosi was found with an extra $10.
They must have passed the hat and collected enough to pay the $9 that was going to cost this woman her job. Again, judge HBR and Halliburton by the same yardstick, please.

Actually what happened is that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid rushed emergency legislation through Congress that makes it retroactively legal to take $9.00 from the register. It’s the Cash Register Security Act of 2008.
It’s really elitist to post about stories only those aristocrats behind the paywall can access.

Actually, this story is rather touching. It shows that there are “human” beings with feelings and conscience, and even some rudimentary sense of community, right in the very heart of darkness.
