DAILY BRIEFING

I get the impression that a lot of folks still fantasize that they’re really switched at birth kids of the rich and famous (Prince and Pauper syndrome.) Secretly hoping that their real parents, not the doofuses that claimed to be their parents, are looking for them and ready to shower them with riches and power that they crave.
I would be willing to accept that more American voters believe they share McCain’s values of opportunism and infidelity than Obama’s of hard work and rags to riches. McCain more accurately represents what we are, whereas Obama is an example of what we could be.
We elected W twice (with an assist from the Supreme Court) — we’re that dumb!
“I just don’t think we’re ready for a black president,” says Donna Bender, 62, of Oshkosh, Wis., a retired credit clerk and registered Democrat. “I’m prejudiced.”
Der Spiegel is reporting that Barry is president of the world, and it’s just so hard for McCain to get attention! Thank you for doing your part, Ms. Donna Bender, 62, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Cheeseheads love you!
Oh believe me, they don’t sound dumber than they are. They are in fact, that dumb.
$230 million? Is that all? Why not make it an even 300?
It’s not like we need that money here at home.
We’ll spend it there so we don’t have to spend it here.
If McCain is more reflective of the average citizen’s values than is Obama, why does the latter draw crowds of Biblical proportions while the former cannot put five hundred warm butts into the legion halls of Podunk and Springfield?
Given this apparent disconnect, how can the media continue to wallow in such boilerplate tripe while wondering why their audience is evaporating?
Failure to note McCain’s virtual irrelevance is proof of the media’s own irrelevance. How can one report a story one doesn’t even understand?
I love attempts to portray Obama as anything other than a capitalist slave, no more or less so than John McCain.
I’m considering the “source”..the WSJ is not exactly Barry friendly…
As much as apprehension as I have for what is happening economically in this country (you know, trickle UP economics and such), we might deserve it for being a collective group of short-sighted, ill-informed morons.
wallstreetgotdrunk: WE didn’t…but I agree, the electorate is pretty thick…
Abdul-Rahim: All Americans are slaves to Capitalism. I am from Cuba, and believe me, you are either a slave to capitalism or a slave to marxism/communism/dicttator(ism?) or a slave to religionism. Since you are posting on a blog, I assume you do not live off, of and on the land, so welcome to the club, baby.
Canuckledragger: If McCain is more reflective of the average citizen’s values than is Obama, why does the latter draw crowds of Biblical proportions while the former cannot put five hundred warm butts into the legion halls of Podunk and Springfield?
Clearly, they are polling Rascal dealerships.
Abdul-Rahim: Umm… yeah? So?
When did the proletariat arrive? Jeebus. YOU MUST WORK NOW TO MEET YOUR QUOTA.
“”Voters have a sense they know what they’re going to get if they elect John McCain…”
A very very wrong sense, but a sense nonetheless.
The WSJ, bless its black little heart, didn’t bother to actually compare their backgrounds in an effort to inform their readers.
“Journalism? What’s that?”
And yes, I said “black heart”. Fuck political correctness. Black black blackity black.
And sobriety. Fuck that, too. Bitches.
Canuckledragger: If McCain is more reflective of the average citizen’s values than is Obama …
You forget, those “values” include lethargy and indifference. So the fewer people McCain draws, the more likely he is to win. It’s science, people!
Re: Let’s Start The Weekend Early
Please g_d, make it so.
ManchuCandidate: In my family, that story goes backwards; that I was switched at the hospital with a kid from the nearby indian reservation, who was born the same day.
They use this to explain my innate affinity with nature, my dark, piercing eyes, my thick black hair and my alcoholism.
Lascauxcaveman: Yeah, well, what Indian reservations are there if France?
Darehead: in France.
I live out here on the left coast, and let me tell you how popular the govinator’s budget prank is. He has lost the last couple of people who believed he was sane (or at least were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt). There is something in the governor’s office that must make people all eccentric, or senile, or whatever. We’re still trying to apologize for that Reagan thing.
boy america’s butts sure don’t vote pretty.
Darehead: C’mon, you never heard of the French/Indian war?
Actually, I’m from the Pacific Northwest. The Lascaux thing I picked up by scribbling on the walls.
