Everybody Must Resign From McCain Campaign Immediately, Due To Conflicts Of Interest
John McCain's comical new conflict-of-interest policy will result in the resignation of every single one of his staff and supporters from every single job and board position they have ever held in order to avoid looking like crooks, which they all are. The latest casualties: Senators Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham, who had to resign from the board of Veterans for Freedom after the group started saying Barack Obama wants to tongue-kiss anyone who hates America.
Here is the scoop: yesterday, Veterans for Freedom aired its second Web ad calling Barack Obama a puzzy who just wants to talk to Iran about its feelings all the time. Back in the days before the new McCain policy, Lieberman and Graham would have watched the ad and shrugged and told their slaves to fetch them more waffles. But in the New Era of Transparency, in which literally every McCain staffer will have to resign from Life due to conflicts of interest, Lieberman and Graham had to step down from their board positions with the glorious war-smearers.
Brian Rogers, a spokesman for the McCain campaign, said, "This is the kind of thing that happens when you have the strictest possible policy on these issues."
