GQ, the bible for “Seriously, dude, I’m not gay, I just love bold stripes! guys, reports that RNC chairman Ken Mehlman, who has declined to field media queries about his sexual orientation in the past, is, well, not necessarily straight, but definitely “not gay.” Here is the moneyquote, via The Raw Story: “Ken Mehlman is not gay,” Steve Schmidt, a senior official of the Bush campaign and a friend of Mehlman’s told Jake Tapper, an ABC News correspondent who wrote the piece for the magazine.
Still a mystery: How straight is he? Is he “Yeah, I’d do Angelina Jolie” straight? (aka, “possibly still gay.”) Or is he “As long as box is involved, I’m in” straight? (aka, “your average heterosexual male.”)
