Iran May Turn Off Internet During Elections
Here's something that should cheer up the Paultards: while President Obama may continue destroying the Constitution, it could be worse -- Iran's government actually plans on turning off the Internet. As you may recall, this is the Paultards' worst fear . According to Iranian news outlets, the government may block private access to the Internet during the nation's legislative elections on May 14. They are worried that political parties could abuse it to spread "news information," a recent evolution from the Internet's original purpose, showing pictures of naked ladies.
According to Iran's interior minister, "Shutting down the Internet service will depend on security plans and on the Ministry of Telecommunication." In other words, whether President Ahmadinejad flips his mysterious Internet Switch, made of enriched uranium.
Because Ahmadinejad is not a friend of the Internet:
The government also uses sophisticated filtering equipment to block hundreds of Web sites and blogs that it considers religiously or politically inappropriate. Many bloggers have been jailed in the past years, and dozens of Web sites have been shut down.
Ha ha, at least when Iran wins its jihad against America and its Jewish allies in Occupied Palestine, the Paultards will all go to jail. Wonkette will escape to Kenya and live with Barry's grandmama .
