Hillary's New Ad May Not Be Complete Political Embarrassment

Nowthisis a peculiar strategy for the Clinton campaign. They seem to be eschewing their central Obama attacks -- his kindergarten record, horrific plagiarism, being a Negro -- for a criticism of his foreign policy judgment, and they're using "solid evidence" from his Senate career to support it. Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson was able to corner Obama spokesman David Axelrod yesterday on ABC's This Weekusing this Afghanistan thingy. But what does Afghanistan have to do with Hope, ultimately? Team Clinton should stick to the "totin' hay" school of politics. Legitimately criticizing her opponent's record would be an unwelcome return to those wretchedRovian politics.
