Hillary Clinton’s love of wine has been widely chronicled in photographs and in print. Now an incendiary article published in the New York Times over the weekend suggests that her staff members have been running around drunk as lords as they try to drink away the pain of a faltering candidacy…
Morale is low. After 13 months of dawn-to-dark seven-day weeks, the staff is exhausted. Some have taken to going home early — 9 p.m. — turning off their BlackBerrys, and polishing off bottles of wine, several senior staff members said.
In contrast, Obama staffers are joyously lighting up doobies every night while the McCain campaign passes out after a glass of Ovaltine and twenty minutes of Jeopardy.
