Florida Primary Results Basically Meaningless

Polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. It's a make-or-break race for various people, mostly Rudy Giuliani. Can John Edwards lose again? The best political team on the Internet is very excited about these things ... except we're not, because it doesn't actually matter. Florida's precious 210 Democratic delegates were taken away by Howard Dean and the mean, mean DNC.

Half of the Florida GOP's 114 delegates were taken away by the angry old Republican National Committee. Why? Because nobody in Florida can follow any simple rules, that's why.
