House Democrats have stopped Minority Leader John Boehner from forcing a vote to censure Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) for controversial comments he made during last week’s SCHIP debate. Stark, who insinuated that the U.S. sends young’uns to Iraq “to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement,” has apologized for his comments. No word yet on whether Boehner will continue to censure poor kids for not having health insurance. [Politico]
