Senate Pretends To Kill Immigration Bill Again

by Ken Layne

The White House and Congress may sort of be at each others’ throats these days, but there’s one thing that unites the Democrats, Republicans and Cheneys: utter fealty to their global corporate masters. Sadly, conservatives and union members and the downsized and downtrodden don’t understand this, so all these “voters” scream and yell and protest and say “shamnesty” or whatever.

This morning, the Senate “killed” the immigration bill yet again, in a vote to see whether any debate on the issue could be banned. And darn, it lost by 14 votes.

But the seemingly dead bill is just in the bathtub, about to burst out cackling (in Spanish) when Nancy Pelosi goes in there to seductively brush her hair.
