Friday* We hate Deborah “I don’t know if I trust you” Soloman. Did you read her provocative interview with Mohsin Hamid last weekend? The author handled her in such a way that we started to like him. Hamid will be at Politics & Prose to discuss The Reluctant Fundamentalist, “This spare and gripping novel in the style of Camus starts and ends with two strangers meeting in a crowded market in Lahore. It is a disturbing commentary on US relations with Islamic people following 9/11. Hamid, a Pakistani native, attended university in the US and lives now in London.” Free at 7PM. [P&P]
