Republicans are weeping on The Hill over the terrible news that Senator Tim Johnson has been upgraded from “critical” to “fair” condition.“He’s on the mend and recovering quite well,” CNN just reported.

Johnson starts rehabilitation therapy next week, and that Surge remains a harmless Bush fantasy for the moment …. And because it’s Nixon-Kennedy-Ford-1972-Forever Day, here’s a picture of Johnson with fellow South Dakota Senator George McGovern:
