No matter how badly they screw up, nobody leaves the administration without accolades and honors.America’s worst-ever secretary of defense isn’t officially gone yet, so there’s sure to be some ceremony in the Rose Garden involving a scepter and knight’s armor or something, but in the meantime here’s a picture of Donald Rumsfeld proudly wearing the fancy medal he was awarded on Friday.

The gold medal in question was given by Philadelphia’s Union Club, which has boldy moved away from offering honors to successful people like Sandra Day O’Connor.
