Yesterday, we met Justin Zatkoff, the Michigan area College Republican who was savagely beaten by gay black communists after leaving a party. The CR have an official statement:

I think the assailant broke Justin’s nose, cheekbone, eye cavity, and nasal cavity. The attack was completely unprovoked. I urge all of you to be careful and travel in groups when possible, especially until the elections are over.

A vigilant reader asked for more information on the situation from Truth Caucus, and a portion of their IM conversation is reprinted below:

operative: any idea why the attackers just left him there and didn’t beat him more?
truth caucus: That’s why it mimics a hate crime–beat him, and then leave
truth caucus: there was no money stolen
operative: but he only has a black eye and no other discernable marks. no fat lip, no broken nose…?
truth caucus: i think there is a nose issue…i didnt post all of the photos
operative: i think you should. there are sickos commenting on wonkette that this looks like a hoax.
operative: it seems that Justin has some enemies among the politicos at the university. what do you know about his “contested” confirmation or have you seen the anti-abortion video justin made last year that i read about on the internet? have the parties involved in all that been questioned?
