Washington may no longer be the nation’s murder capital, but at least it’s moving up the “most congested cities” list.
The D.C. metro area is No. 3 on the list of 11 American cities on the way to having worse traffic than Los Angeles does today.
In 25 years, commuters here will spend 150% more time sitting in traffic, according to the Reason Foundation’s Mobility Project. Because the libertarians wrote the report, their only solution is to make the Beltway and the rest of the Interstates all 100 lanes wide … and they’ll all need to be private toll roads, too.
