A Little Rice Music
"Hey now baby, get into my big black car, I wanna just show you what my politics are..."
TheIndependent, which is one of those like 500 English newspapers that are radically different in ways that confuse us Americans, was "edited" by Bono today. Bono, being the world's foremost political activist, asked America's top diplomat Condoleezza Rice to contribute her list of "The Ten Best Musical Works." Number 1: Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor (the saddest of all keys). Number 2: "Sunshine of Your Love" by Cream. Right. Not "Politician?"
"I love to work out to this song," says Rice. "Believe it or not, I loved acid rock in college - and I still do."
Well, we're sorta surprised, but only because we saw you as more the type who'd be into uppers.
Also on the list: A U2 entry ("anything") that is suspiciously lacking in quoted Condi commentary, and, uh "Rocket Man." Not on the list: "Sweet Neo Con," Steve Earle, the new Ghostface, etc.
