Business As Usual

by Alex Pareene

themoreyouknow.jpgA Wonkette Operative and former lobbyist directed our attention to the planned vote restricting the use of corporate jets by members of Congress. The rule, propsed by Russ Feingold and MAVERICK RENEGADE Senator John McCain, would require that our Reps and Senators actually pay to travel on the Corporate plane.

Of course, of the many members who already refuse to accept free cororate jet rides, most still fly that way anyway, but only after paying coach fare. So — should the amendment pass, they’ll still be riding private jets with well-stocked bars, but paying what you shell out for a seat by the engine on an overbooked SunCountry flight.

They’re just rubbing it in, really.
