On his visit to a group of flood evacuees at the Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, President Bush failed to persuade at least one parishioner that “all levels of government are doing the best they can”:
“I’m not star-struck. I need answers,” said Mildred Brown, who has been there since Tuesday with her husband, mother-in-law and cousin. “I’m not interested in hand-shaking. I’m not interested in photo ops. This is going to take a lot of money.”
We guess that’s why the president prefers to view flood victims through a plane window.
