Five students in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, will be disciplined for shouting “Donald Trump! Build that wall!” (and allegedly other racial slurs) at black and Latina high school soccer players from visiting Beloit Memorial High School last week, and Jim Hoft, the Stupidest Man on the Internet, is seeing red about the obvious political repression. Of course, it helps that he’s carefully filtered the story to make it seem like the only thing the spectators at Elkhorn were yelling was the “Build a wall!” chant. It’s unclear whether Hoft is more outraged that anyone could consider yelling “Build a wall!” at Latino girls racist, or that the girls were bothered by it, like a bunch of pussies:

The high school girls soccer players from Beloit High School were so traumatized they were not able to finish the game.

The girls had to be cradled in the arms of an assistant coach.

Wow.

Yes, what a bunch of fucking wimps those girls were. Look at how political correctness is ruining America. Hoft quotes from a teabagger blog’s rewrite of the story:

School officials in Elkhorn, Wisconsin are investigating a group of their own students following complaints of racist chants being directed towards the African-American and Hispanic members of the Beloit Memorial High school girls soccer team as the two teams played last Thursday in Elkhorn.

Students are said to have chanted “Donald Trump, build that wall”.

School officials in Elkhorn consider that to have been racist.

Hoft does at least include WISC-TV’s video report on the incident, which does have a mention of other unspecified “racist taunts,” although that part doesn’t make it into the text of his article. Wow.

Another story on the incident, from the Janesville GazetteXtra, reported that there have been multiple incidents in the past when “Elkhorn fans have been seen as taunting Latinos during sports games[.]” Beloit coach Brian Denu received a text message from a parent complaining that Elkhorn students near the Beloit bench were chanting “Donald Trump, build that wall!” and that

a racial insult was heard whenever the team’s only African American player on the pitch touched the ball.

The black player had never heard the word before, Denu said.

Beloit players also heard, “go back to where you came from,” Denu said.

Huh! Details matter, maybe!

Three Beloit girls — sorry, Mr. Hoft, not the whole team — left the game in tears. And it was one girl, again, not the whole team, who was held by an assistant coach while she cried. The Elkhorn coach considered the behavior serious enough to stop the game and go on the PA system to tell the fans to stop the taunts. Guess BOTH teams are full of wussies!

Elkhorn schools administrator Jason Tadlock said he was unable to confirm the racist slurs against blacks (so obviously it never happened), but later announced that five Elkhorn students — two high school boys and three elementary-aged girls — would face unspecified disciplinary measures for the Trump chants.

A follow-up report on WISC clarifies the girls are U.S. citizens, not that it matters, because for chrissake, they aren’t really Americans, as the wise souls at Gateway Pundit know. The top-rated comment on the story is:

Can’t imagine why any girl would be upset. Unless, of course, she was an illegal.

Haw-haw! This was followed by another wit who said,

That, and/or others in the family are, and/or her family is currently in the process of bringing the other 89 family members over here illegally.

We should also point out that The Gateway Pundit recently cried bitter tears over the insufferable racism of Beyoncé not hiring any white backup dancers for her Super Bowl halftime show. But that was righteous indignation, not a wimpy overreaction to a few minor racial slurs. We’ll assume most readers of the Gateway Pundit would leap at the chance to go yell some racial slurs at high school girls, to help toughen them up some.

Obviously, the execrable behavior of the five Elkhorn students is caused by a breakdown in the white family structure.

No, I would actually disagree with that. The kind of pressure many Americans are under these days, especially economic pressure, brings out the worst in them. The Nazis never would have come to power in Germany in the thirties if Germany had had a thriving economy. The people who are really to blame are the ones who seek to exploit the situation by scapegoating minorities and proposing simplistic, discriminatory “solutions”, that would never, and can never work. Hitler did it with the Jews, Drumpf, the Republican party and their propaganda organs are doing it with blacks, latinos, and Muslims.

          • YourMom

Bingo! The conclusion is, after you study world history, when you have a stable middle class, you get peace. When you de-stabilize the middle class and drive masses of people downward economically, things go to shit.

      • HanBarbara

I think America is so marinated in racism it’s hard to get away from it. It’s just everywhere. I live in a pretty upscale apartment complex. It’s also really integrated, which I’m happy about. But when I’d see a new black family, move in, I’d catch myself thinking, are they going to play music loud and make a lot of noise? Will they be a problem?
Racism and I wasn’t even aware until I caught it. And by the way, the noisiest couple here was white- they’d constantly scream asshole and other obscenities at each other.
I think sometimes that a lot of middle class white people are fine with other groups-as long as they act and talk like middle class white people.

*In yet another headline grabbing display, a Donald Trump rally in Albany, New York became the locale of the physical assault of a black protester by a supporter of the Republican presidential frontrunner.

Video footage of the incident, which occurred Monday (April 11) and recently went viral on social media, captures the Trump supporter coming face-to-face with a line of Trump protesters as supporters and protesters loudly insulted each other. According to the New York Daily News, things took a violent turn as tempers flared and one of the Trump supporters reached across the barrier, grabbed the black protester’s face and wound up slapping the black protester as the man was pulled back away from the barrier by other Trump supporters.

  • SnarkOff

Only a conservative would think that a person would not be offended by “Build the wall!” unless she were illegal. Conservatives are incapable of empathy. For heaven’s sake, I’m bothered by “Build the wall!” and I’m white, legal, not from Illinois and don’t play basketball. This will undoubtedly make a conservative’s head explode.

        • John Smith

Your sense of humor is rather dry.

          • Beaufighter

True that. I also have a hard time seeing someone calling me ‘cracker’ as the equivalent of me calling someone by a genuine real-deal slur.

          • Skadi

When I was young and stupid and reading books over my age-level I called a school bus driver that. He called the principal and school board and threatened to stop driving the bus unless he got written apologies from both me and my parents.

My parents were infuriated and told me that was the equivalent of the n-word. My father also said my mother’s family were poor, white and Southern so I had also insulted my own mother and indirectly myself. My mother then got upset because her family were poor and white, but not “poor white” and she resented the implication.

I was left with the impression that I would be better off if I just stuck to simple, easily-understood insults like “stupidhead” and stayed well away from the ridiculously complex world of grown-up insults, a view I still hold.

          • HanBarbara

        • Cindyinencinitas

The point of a racial slur is that it is used to oppress a member of a racial minority. When your race is the dominant one, you can’t, by definition, be oppressed by a racial slur.

    • Lance Thrustwell

I remember how startlingly hurtful it was when I passed by a room with a bunch of black people in it, in my dorm at college. I nodded or something – basically indicated “hello” in a totally normal way, and as I kep walking, I heard one of them say “honky!” and the rest burst out laughing. It was surprisingly hurtful.

But the fact that that has happened only once in my life indicates how uncommon it is for minorities to openly mock random majorities.*

(Why is “minorities” a word, but not “majority” or “majorities?” I’m usin’ it!)

      • alwayspunkindrublic

I suspect a lot of us have had something similar happen…I know I did. The difference is that you walk away thinking “asshole” rather than “I hate black people”.

      • YourNameHere

That happened to me a lot actually. I had a roommate who was African American who constantly yelled racial and gay slurs at me. She was an asshole.

I also used to live in a mostly African American neighborhood and got a number of racial slurs thrown at me and dirty looks. I mostly shrugged it off but that’s because I could leave that behind. They couldn’t. And to be clear, this was only ever from lower/working class African Americans. The upper class and middle class (it was a mixed neighborhood) were never rude.

        Intersectionalism is important!

        • Cindyinencinitas

I was raised in a white, middle class neighborhood and fell in love in high school with a guy from a white, upper class neighborhood. The girls in that neighborhood were incredibly ruthless and cruel to me because I wasn’t “one of them” and I wasn’t good enough to associate with them. Nouveau-riche brats who seriously fucked with my self-esteem.

      • HanBarbara

My kid went to an integrated school, a pretty decent mix of Anglo, Latino, and African American. At first she told me that some of the other kids made fun of her because her skin was so pale. She did go on to have close friendships with several of the girls, though.

      • YourMom

My Asian daughter did experience a group of mostly Latino parents from east LA suburbs needling her in racial terms “slant-eyes”, etc. at a soccer tournament…and she was only ten. But, overall, more recent stuff came from those “decent” white folks.

    • NoGoodnik

That was Jane Elliott, and she’s still milking it. You can get her to come to your school and just destroy white privileged kids in the name of education. If you’ve never seen the footage of her elementary students, you should. But it is heartbreaking.

Before anyone gets after the Trumpster about this I will note that all he has done is harness the racist fucktardary that has really been prominent in the GOP going back to at least the 1970’s Southern strategy. Trump’s contribution has been to throw away the dog whistles and in that we should all be a little grateful because the fuckheads aren’t being coy about it anymore. Because of that, we can destroy them in 2016….

I used to coach high school soccer and always encouraged my boys to support the girls team and attend their games. The girls coach did the same for us. The teams grew to be quite close. If anyone had tried this at one of the girl’s games it would not have gone unnoticed by my boys. Just sayin’.

    • alwayspunkindrublic

Drublic Jr.’s high school soccer team had a very talented young lady on it. They played these nasty little rednecks for the state championship his junior year They really singled her out for trash talk and egregious, off the ball fouls. Their coach was worse. I was really proud of of the way her teammates stood up for her.

      • YourMom

Ahhh…yes… it’s everywhere: kids from South River HS chanted USA, USA when Asian born player stepped up to kick in the state final shootout a few years back. Baltimore (PSC) club team members strolled up to players from DC/suburban MD and sneered, “You have such a ghetto team.” yeah…they’re nice, aren’t they?

    • Angela Ruzzo

What would your boys have done if they had seen something like this? I’m really just curious, not questioning. Teenage athletics is a world I am unfamiliar with.

      • Me not sure

I hope nothing other then shouting encouragement and being supportive, but there might have been words exchanged of a provocative nature, it’s hard to say with adolescent males.

        • Angela Ruzzo

Is there such a thing in athletics as a Public Foul? If a patron interferes with the game, is there no procedure whereby the team can protest officially?

          • Me not sure

            THERE SHOULD BE!

          • Angela Ruzzo

Who can we write to suggest this? Perhaps the rule could say if there are 3 Public Fouls by patrons on one side, the other team automatically wins. If on both sides, the game is canceled. Would that be too harsh?

          • Me not sure

That would free up more time for game show reruns.

          • YourMom

Yes–actually– if the crowd is out of control, the official can inform the coach of the team they’re cheering for that if things don’t calm down, he/she will call the game and award the other team a 3-0 victory. But–in most states, refs assigned to high school girls games are not all that experienced –having a lot to do with gender assumptions that girls soccer isn’t all that competitive or important. I believe soccer officials can also ask spectators to leave.

          • In my country, it is not uncommon for parents/spectators at school sports games to get “overexcited” (with racist overtones or not) and end up forfeiting the game.

          • Angela Ruzzo

I thought there must be some kind of crowd control. Can a patron walk up to a ref with a copy of the rules and demand they be enforced? Probably not.

      • Cindyinencinitas

In my high school somebody would have sparked up a hooter and peace would have broken out.

I live in the Janesville Beloit Elkhorn area. Elkhorn is a nice rural town with a few racist. Must have slipped through the cracks or something. The two high schools in Janesville hated Beloit because of the black kids and there were fights for decades. Paul Ryan was probably there a time or two.
Coach Denu took the boys soccer to state last year for the first time in school history with almost all latinos kids and has his girls team just as competitive. Good on Beloit for its many cultures and Mrs, Hendricks $$$$$$!

The best part was watching our local girls working with her, teaching her and encouraging her as she learned the game and the “standing O” she got from the crowd when she sank her first lay-up.

That is what I was thinking :/ My ten year old has a friend who told him that slavery was not really so bad because slaves were like pets and there is no food or water in Africa anyway. And that if my son disagreed that was ok but he should let people have their opinions.
Kid did not learn that at public school, unless it was from another kid. Shit be learned at home.

        • Lily412

What. the. fuck. That kid thinks slavery is awesome? I bet he poops his pampers every time his parents ask him to do a chore (that he probably gets allowance for). And no food and water in Africa? How does he think there are still people living there? The kid can’t math.

          • Cindyinencinitas

My third grade teacher, in the 60s, told us that the Indians in the Central Coast were happy to see Father Junipero Serra and they welcomed him as a hero because they were just sitting there in the dirt with nothing to do until he showed them how to live right. We believed her because none of us were Indian enough to know the part about how he enslaved them and killed them and all that other stuff.

Can we agree that both would make good candidates for a manned exploration of the sun?

    • OneDemin EOr

Time for the Why Not Both meme.

      • Sakonyachen

Time for the why not Zoidberg meme.

  • Invidosa

    Nazis.

I mean, i know about Godwins as well as the next interweb denizen , but really people, fucking Nazis. I give you as evidence: “Can’t imagine why any girl would be upset. Unless, of course, she was an illegal”

I fucking hate these people. If I had enough disposable income I would bury that town in expired tuna fish.

    • Cindyinencinitas

AND *are you sitting down?* EXPIRED MIRACLE WHIP.

      • Invidosa

Oooooooh, rancid! I like the way that you think!

      • Smokahontas

I thought Miracle Whip was like Twinkies and would outlast all carbon based molecules after the apocalypse…

        • Atchally I’d heard they screwed up and added over 2% organic material to the modern Twinkie, thus giving it a shelf life.

Okay, the shelf won’t last that long, but still…

      • jodyleek

You just made my grandma’s favorite expired salad. Did I mentioned my grandma is also expired?

  • kaydenpat

I’m glad to hear that schools are finally coming around to taking action against students for engaging in racism/abuse. Trump can get away with abusive language. Students copying him cannot. They need to learn that lesson well.

    • OneDemin EOr

Waiting to teach Truck Fump that lesson in November.

  • Cindyinencinitas

Somebody needs a box of dildos, stat!

    • OneDemin EOr

Make sure it’s the kind we like.
Stay away from the Ted Cruz model, though. It makes you want to rape your sister.

      • Smokahontas

        Josh, is that you?

    • ConnieHinesDorothyProvine

Someone needs to send Cruz a box of them with the message SUCK US, PLEASE.

  • Walter Wellstone

Who is this Hoft motherfucker? Why is he a thing?

    • UnsaltedSinner

He is The Stupidest Man on the Internet, which is quite a big thing when you think about it.

      • WhyFelicia

        Competition is beyond fierce.

  • OneDemin EOr

And these assholes always sling this shit behind their keyboards in complete anonymity!

    Um, wait a minute there…

  • Smokahontas

*sigh* another proud day in the badger state. The UW Madison has had a rash of racist acts recently, always accompanied with some reference to drumpf. A Beloit soccer mom on the local radio described the situation in detail, and suffice to say I wish I had a coach to hold me after hearing that vile shit. I’m at a loss on this one, other than preaching to the choir about the danger validating this sick ignorance by allowing this filth a fucking megaphone on the MSM. Wisconsin was the first state to give women the vote (if I remember 6th grade history class correctly), had numerous socialist mayors, gave birth to John Muir, Aldo Leopold and Georgia O’Keeffe, had the longest running communist community in the U.S., but also gave us Joe Mccarthy, Scott Walker aND ZEGS. Sadly, our better angels seem to be dwindling. I’ll be at the bar after my shift on the phones for the DNC.

  • Matthew Hawkins

I am banned from The Gateway Pundit. One of my proudest achievements.

  • LarryHoudini

Jim Hoft regained the SMOTI crown? What the hell happened to Charles C. Johnson? It’s like the guy never happened. Is it just me? Am I the only one paying attention? WAS CHARLES C. JOHNSTON OR WAS HE NOT PROCLAMED SMOTI, TAKING THE TITLE AWAY FROM JIM HOFT???

    • doktorzoom

Mostly I just got tired of calling Hoft the former stupidest man on the internet.

      • WhyFelicia

May either stupid man forever reign!

    • Jukesgrrl

It has to be a rotating prize. There are so many possibilities. We have at least three right here in Tucson. One of them pretends he’s a sports commentator.

  • BKScooter

When I was a kid, white people knew and loved that they were racist. Grandma called my first Sicilian girlfriend (in Brooklyn) “exotic.” She had just come back from the beach, Grandma. I feel so sad for millennials (damn it, do I really need autocorrect for the word millenial?) who have to grow up with awful role models who refuse to embrace their hate for non-pale non-Christians.

  • paltroony

I think a rebroadcast of this neural imaging pic of Trump is worth doing….

    • GEMoore

He looks even more feral and nasty through 3D glasses.

  • cleos_mom

Beloit players also heard, “go back to where you came from,” Denu said.

The players were reported to be puzzled as to why spectators wanted them to move to Milwaukee or St. Louis.

How many people before me pointed out the leading picture isn’t Rosie the Riveter, but Westinghouse anti Union propaganda.
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:RosieTheRiveter.jpg#mw-jump-to-license that is Rockwell’s Rosie.

  • ConnieHinesDorothyProvine

In Dumbfuckistan, the KKK is more oppressed than anyone who isn’t a white, Christian, male heterosexual.

  • Lizernst

Of course Beyonce didn’t hire any white backup dancers – white people can’t dance.
