Soledad To The Muslin Network! Greta Sniffs Around CNN! Has This New York Times Guy Been Fired Yet? Media!

Here at Wonkette, we are really making a play to be your full-service blog. We’ve become your go-to source for swears-laden posts about New Pope, haphazard legal analysis about legal decisions, and deeply ambivalent feelings about Edward Snowden. Now we’ve expanded our world domination plan to include fancypants talking about other media people so we can be insular beltway pundits when we grow up. We’re like the new Mediaite. Call us Meditate or Mediate or Mediatitus or something. Read more on Soledad To The Muslin Network! Greta Sniffs Around CNN! Has This New York Times Guy Been Fired Yet? Media!…

Not At All Racist Tea Party Express Chairwoman Goes on CNN to Explain Why Obama Doesn’t Love America Like ‘We’ Do

Hello Wonketeers, please enjoy this fun video wherein chairwoman of the Tea Party express Amy Kremer tries to explain why “Obama doesn’t love America the way we do.” Hint: it has something to do with him being “about more a global — having, uh, global, um, oh what’s the word? Being more global, one-world, with other countries, and it’s not about the shining city on the hill, the greatness that has always been America that our Founding Fathers were all about.” Does that clear it up? John Sununu Accuses CNN Of Pilfering Talking Points From the ‘Democratic Blog Boards’

So here’s what appears to be the Romney-Ryan camp’s plan for combatting accusations that Paul Ryan wants to gut Medicare through couponization and Mitt Romney endorsed that plan during the primaries: Saying that Mitt Romney has his own plan that has nothing to do with Paul Ryan, while claiming that it’s actually the Democrats who gutted Medicare by ending an estimated $700 billion in overpayments to Medicare Advantage providers. Shorter version: It is the Democrats who want to destroy Medicare, not the Republicans who have put Paul Ryan on their presidential ticket. Hmm, seems a bit thin; perhaps a bit more thought should have gone into this “let’s put Paul Ryan on our presidential ticket” thing. But if that messaging fails, Republicans do have a backup plan: Get dear old New Hamphire coot John Sununu to go on the teevee and holler at the host. ‘THE VETTING’ Is Just Unearthing Game-Changer After Game-Changer

While we were typing trivial other things, Breitbart.com’s new children’s scavenger hunt THE VETTING continued turning out hot scoops about radical liberals. Look at the latest “get”: A CNN lady had tweeted that she was sad when the black guy who Obama hugged that one time died last year. Mr. President, it’s time to resign. CNN’s American Tragedy: O’Brien Firing Ends in Bloodshed

Soledad O’Brien Is A Better Parent, Less Racist Than You

CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien is raising the best, most open-minded little anchorling ever, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: When Soledad O’Brien reads to her 6-year-old daughter at night now, it’s not the latest “Harry Potter” volume that tops her list, but rather, the Rev. Martin Luther King’s “Letter From Birmingham Jail.” Read more on Soledad O’Brien Is A Better Parent, Less Racist Than You…

Remainders: AUS! AUS! AUS! AUS!

* Soledad O’Brien: Wednesday’s “Hump Day Hussy.” [Evil Discussor] * Howard Kurtz thinks we are not “below reasonable standards.” It feels like a compliment, but we like to think of ourselves as having no standards. [WP] Read more on Remainders: AUS! AUS! AUS! AUS!…

Katrina Detritus: Rush on Broadway (Yes!)

We’re taking a break. Someone keep an eye on whatever bone-headed thing Bush does. • MSNBC photojournalist talks about what he “couldn’t” air. [CJR] • FEMA’s Mike Brown (“Browie” to Bush) gets his face rubbed in it. By girls: Paula Zahn (“Sir, you’re not telling me, you’re not telling me you just learned that the folks at the convention center didn’t have food and water until today did you?”), Soledad O’Brien (“How is it possible that we’re getting better intel than you’re getting? We had a crew in the air. We were showing live pictures of the people outside of the Convention Center.”), and, uhm, Ted Koppel (“We’ve been reporting on the crisis at the Convention Center for alot longer than just today, but you say that you only heard about it today?”). • CurrentTV’s videoblog of a citizen rescue. [Current.tv] • Shoot the looters, they say. But who does the shooting? And which looters? [LawDork] • Willing to help disaster victims. No fatties. [Craigslist via TRL] • Is there too much sympathy for the victims, and not enough for the bureaucrats? [Attytood] • Daryn’s boyfriend does his part.
