World Savior Ron Paul’s Media Empire Is Born In Lowly Internet Teevee Thing

Libertarian yard leprechaun Ron Paul retired from Congress in January after three attempts at the presidency and exactly one bill passed of the 464 he sponsored in the House. Many who noticed his vacancy wondered, how could this void possibly be filled? Not to worry anti-statist-states-righters! The New Republic unleashed a new selection of newsletters Tuesday allegedly penned by Republican candidate Ron Paul, and they are just as bad (or maybe worse!) than the first. The congressman recently said of the first batch that “only 8 to 10 sentences” contained “bad stuff.” Not true, but if it were, he’d have a hard time keeping to that estimate with this batch, in which entire paragraphs can be written off as verbal diarrhea of the most racist, sexist and otherwise close-minded variety. Remember those Ron Paul newsletters that he published but maybe didn’t personally write — the ones that had all that mean stuff about how all the black people are stupid criminals? The New Republic’s James Kirchick dug up a whole bunch more back issues of the creepy newsletters, which mix every kind of Art Bell paranoia with good old-fashioned attacks on Martin Luther King Jr. Read more on Ron Paul’s Hilarious Newsletters Also Hate MLK…

Daily Candy Editors Do Plan On Making It Out to DC One Of These Days

Pity the poor Daily Candy! Washington DC can’t quite figure out what to do with it, and they can’t quite figure out Washington DC — as evidenced in today’s perky missive, which directs subscribers to a survey (please please please say you buy 10+ beauty products monthy, they whisper). Alas, even in their attempt to learn the very old fashioned way just who the hell their audience is, they show that, perhaps, it may be a lost cause: C’mon, ladies. We don’t go to your house and mispronounce “Houston Street,” do we? Read more on Daily Candy Editors Do Plan On Making It Out to DC One Of These Days…
