Here’s some lady named Tammany Hall on the teevee, making fun of the Chinese. Tiki Barber and the other gal are like, “who is this idiot?” The best part is at :11 when one of the two ladies makes this weird noise for no reason. [YouTube]
Someday Andrea Mitchell will publish her memoirs and it will be the most rollicking account of a sassy girl reporter navigating our nation’s halls of power since Barbara Walters’ book came out. It will be all about crazy three-ways with Objectivists and that time she shared a spliff with Spiro Agnew. But in the meantime, everybody is constantly being mean to Andrea Mitchell because she’s always shilling for the other guy. MORE »

Do you have the Summer Olympic Fever? No? Neither do we. But now we sort of regret missing the Opening Ceremony, which was apparently done completely with the computer game The SIMS. MORE »
Yes Mark Halperin’s website, draw laughs he will! Tonight marks John McCain’s first appearance on the NBC comedy show Late Night With Conan O’Brien since 2005, back when he was still that funny old coot and failed presidential senator guy with black children. Now, of course, he poses the greatest possible threat to the survival of Earth and everyone hates him. But he’s still a wonderful comedian and we look forward to seeing him in his element tonight. What jokes about cunts, bestial rape, ugly young girls and killing innocent civilians will he debut tonight? MORE »

BRIAN WILLIAMS IS HILARIOUS:: Never mind the newscast; check out his blogging! The Sunday New York Times is full of bizarre lifestyle crap, Peggy Noonan is “doing the work of her career,” mom’s cocktails in New Jersey were the best, and he skipped the White House Correspondents’ Dinner to watch NASCAR in his kitchen. Here is American President George W. Bush’s special message to a friendly contestant on NBC’s Deal Or No Deal last night. The contestant was a soldier in Iraq who won many Purple Hearts. Bush honors his service by making jokes about how low his approval rating is and how Congress is incapable of effecting positive change on a single person’s life. [NBC]
Here’s the thing: Hillary is funny here, on Saturday Night Live. She is funny without bringing undue shame upon her campaign. We’ll see how this plays in Vermont, Rhode Island, Ohio and Texas.

AND NOW HE’S FIRED: David Shuster sort of called Chelsea Clinton a whore, so now he’s “suspended” from, uh, guest hosting Tucker Carlson’s show? [Media Matters]
What have they done to Dennis now? The happy little candidate was kicked out of tonight’s debate for no good reason, and then he went to court to get back in, and then MSNBC went to the state supreme court and just got him re-kicked out. Jesus, what did Kucinich to do anybody? We will seek him out, by looking for his very tall, hot wife. And then we’ll ask him how he feels or whatever.
