Barack Obama’s campaign team has the right idea when it comes to combating “smears” from his nefarious opponents! We’ve no business offering suggestions to the people who vanquished Team Clinton, but perhaps that Web page could have been even better if it featured whimsical drawings that illustrate the smear-truth dichotomy. Ha ha, remember how Hillary Clinton said that Barack Obama’s people shouldn’t go privately blabbing to the Canadian government about how they didn’t really want to renegotiate NAFTA? It turns out that Clinton’s campaign may have been guilty of the same RANK BACK-DOOR HYPOCRISY AND SHENANIGANS that the American people are so sick of they will vote for John McCain, who got all that out of his system in the 80s. JUST CALL OHIO FOR TOM BUFFENBARGER ALREADY: Keith Olbermann and his ol’ pal Chuck Todd are saying that Ohio’s full results won’t be in until 4:30 a.m. Chuck Todd explains that Clinton’s lead will diminish when Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo are counted (BLACK PEOPLE). What is wrong with this state? Aren’t there a million unemployed ex-factory workers, because of the NAFTA? Hire them all to count the damn ballots, for Christ’s sake.

International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers president Tom Buffenbarger, one of Hillary Clinton’s most vocal backers in Ohio, is sharply attacking liberal nemesis Barack Obama again. You may recall last week when Buffenbarger compared Obama to “Janus, the two-faced Roman god of ancient times,” and then urged everyone to boo the god’s labor record. In a memo addressed “To: POLITICAL EDITORS” today, Buffenbarger hits Obama on his NAFTA plan, which is to do the exact opposite of his proposed NAFTA plan. MORE »

Hillary’s defense was that the Cleveland Plain Dealer — Ohio’s #1 Hillary Paper! — had defended her record, because they love her. While Hillary was saying this on teevee, Plain Dealer blogger John Kroll was making fun of Hillary’s new Mexican campaign song. As far as Texan conspiracy theorists go, we’re pretty sure that this girl is 1,000x cuter than, say, Alex Jones, so whatever she’s talking about could be true. But what is she going on about, anyway? There is apparently some kind of EU thing going on, and soon you Canadians will be wearing Mexican burqas or something. And while we would welcome a Canadian takeover of Washington, it’s probably kind of going to go the other way — and then we’ll all earn Mexican wages.
