According to “Heard on the Hill,” former President Bill Clinton may soon be intervening in Senator Joe Lieberman’s troubled Democratic primary campaign:

A source close to Lieberman said on Wednesday that Clinton plans to announce his endorsement at a press conference in Hartford on Monday afternoon.

The reason for his decision? Clinton and Lieberman do have a history, having both attented Yale, and Clinton worked on a 1970 Liebmerman campaign — but we think it might have something to do with this fiery and unexpected speech Joe delivered to the Senate, excerpted after the jump.
