Who Is More Desperate For Edwards’ Endorsement?

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

That would appear to be lady candidate Hillary Clinton! Her website is so in love with John Edwards, in fact, that the website might drop out and endorse Edwards. But how does Barry’s web site commemorate the death of our angry-hobo-under-a-bridge? By talking about Denver, site of this year’s Democratic National Convention. It looks like Hillary is mighty scared that the next-best white candidate would endorse Barry, who she and Bill had worked so tirelessly to name “the black candidate.” But Edwards people, maybe just to sound special, say both campaigns are annoying the crap out of them with their telephone calls. BILL CLINTON

Bill Richardson Finally Gets Attention!

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Bill Richardson has held most important government jobs, but America just wasn’t ready for a Mexican citizen to be its president. We’ll get there, with Hope. He still could be a vice presidential selection, however, and now the non-loser candidates are aggressively courting his endorsement. Barack, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, perhaps even Franklin Delano Roosevelt somehow — they have all been jamming Richardson’s phone line, most likely offering “back room deals.” Indeed, it’s springtime for Bill Richardson — that career of resume-workshopping has finally gotten him some bites. Well, more like “nibbles.” [The Trail]

Toni Morrison Wants First Real Black Contender Instead Of First First Lady of First Black President To Be Second Black President In First Black-on-Black Presidential Race

Monday, January 28th, 2008

In other words, an author endorsed Barack Obama. Toni Morrison, the famous Nobel laureate who once called Bill Clinton the “first black president,” will endorse Barack Obama today at some point. I bet that Bill Clinton is hopping mad! Not because it implies his neat title has been stripped away, but because he wants to be the second black president as well, instead of the first actual possible black president. Again: Toni Morrison has endorsed Barack Obama. [ABC News]

‘The Kennedy Who Survived’ To Endorse Barry

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Kinda sucks to be Hillary Clinton right now. Ted Kennedy — one of the last two major Democratic endorsers along with Al Gore, who seems to be keeping silent — has endorsed Barry Obama, last night’s big winner. The old fatso’s endorsement has been in the works for a few days, it turns out, so it’s not like he’s ‘tarding out just because of that delightful speech last night. Instead, insiders suggest that it was Kennedy’s history of killing young white bitches in his car that made him feel closer to “the black candidate.” [New York Times]

REPUBLICANS

New York Times Wishes All Best To Rudy F****** Giuliani

Friday, January 25th, 2008

nytcover.jpgWhy did the New York Times even bother writing a Republican primary endorsement? And since they did, couldn’t they have found a single editorial board lackey who gave a shit? Look at this first sentence: “We have strong disagreements with all the Republicans running for president.” Jesus, why don’t you wave your vanity flag a little higher?

Meh, who cares. The Rudy part is really funny. MORE »

HILLARY CLINTON

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

*HOW MUCH DID THEY PAY FOR THAT ONE:* The kids at Radar hear that the New York Times will endorse Hillary Clinton for president in a weekend editorial. Somewhere Paul Krugman is skipping and singing his favorite gleeful showtunes, while Frank Rich and Maureen Dowd are moving to France in whiny sobs. [Radar]

HILLARY CLINTON

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

*NOW THE NEW YORKERS ARE ENDORSING TOO:* Super Duper Mondo Fab Tuesday comes February 5, so it’s time for the big states to start ushering out those endorsements. The New York Observer, a lovely “other option” for New Yorkers, has endorsed Barack Obama. Even though Hillary was born and raised in Yankee Stadium! They say “Barack Obama of Illinois is the future,” which kind of makes me feel pathetic. [NY Observer]

HILLARY CLINTON

*DEAD CONFEDERATE TREES FOR BARRY:* In a move that defies South Carolina’s general penchant for racism, the state’s largest print journalism newspaper — The State — has endorsed Barack Hussein Obama for Saturday’s primary. Obama thanked the paper by buying it and then leasing it out to various Chicago slumlords, according to Hillary Clinton. [The State]

MITT ROMNEY

Bob Jones University To Go Paultard?

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

bobjones1.jpgDr. President Rep. Ron Paul is visiting South Carolina’s famous fundy haven Bob Jones University today, and he will likely talk about his love of glistening fetuses. Is this a mere speech, or has BJU gone ‘tard? Because its president, Dr. Bob Jones III, “endorsed” Mitt Romney in October, and now the school’s distancing itself pretty hard from that one. MORE »

SENATE

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

*LEAHY WANTS TO FEEL PRETTY ALSO:* Sen. Patrick Leahy, a pretty cool old cracker who heads the Judiciary Committee, will apparently endorse Barry Obama in some 11 a.m. conference call. Should make it an easy cabinet approval process for Barry down the road — Leahy won’t give no guff to Secretary of Defense Oprah or to the Secretary of Oprah, who will also be Oprah. [Politico]

HILLARY CLINTON

Friday, January 11th, 2008

noGOD, QUIT STALKING HIM: Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, who Insiders say is a big deal lady politician, has endorsed Kenyan candidate Barack Obama. This endorsement is subject to change when Hillary Clinton starts crying again, since women are always getting emotional and shit. [The Trail]
