Wingnut Millennial Picks Dumb Fight With Wingnut Boomer On Fox, Hilarity Ensues

Actual screen shot from Fox episode
So this conservative millennial lady who writes for the National Review picked a fight with this conservative boomer fart guy who “reports” for Fox Business Network, about which of their generations are worse. And we are really struggling because who should we root for? Hahah, trick question, we hope they both lose. Let’s see if we get our wish! Read more on Wingnut Millennial Picks Dumb Fight With Wingnut Boomer On Fox, Hilarity Ensues…

Independent Women’s Forum Does Not Care For This Minimum Wage Nonsense

Because we love you, dear Wonkette reader, this morning we listened to the Independent Women’s Forum’s exciting conference call on why raising the minimum wage is a terrible idea. The call, arranged for the day that Republicans hope to kill the minimum wage increase to death in the Senate, was mostly just IWF Executive Director Sabrina Schaeffer reading off a press release for five minutes; you can get the gist of the group’s talking points in this column at their website. Let’s just sum up here: A higher minimum wage will make everyone poorer, because all the jobs will vanish and then won’t you liberals feel foolish? Independent Women’s Forum Furious At Your Wonket!

Oh Lucy what have we done now! Oh, we have just MISUSED and MISCONTEXTED words from the Independent Women’s Forum’s senior contraception correspondent, by not quoting them from the original source (Andrea Peyser) when she did not include them in her column! Not only did we not include Lisa Schiffren’s invisible words that did not appear in Andrea Peyser’s story, but we did not point out that they are even stupider than the ones Peyser did include! We of course regret the error! Let’s go to the email of Victoria R. Coley, IWF communications director! Rebecca, You recently pulled quotes from a New York Post story on the distribution of Plan B without parental consent for your Wonkette post ‘Andrea Peyser Wants to Knock Up Your Pre-Teen.’ The quotes you used from IWF Senior Fellow Lisa Schiffren are taken out of context in your Wonkette post; Schiffren’s quotes (full text below) are in response to young girls receiving the morning-after pill – Plan B – in school without parental consent NOT to young women going to their student health centers to get on birth control. Guys, we had best suss this out! Read more on Independent Women’s Forum Furious At Your Wonket!…

National Review: Give Your Kids Boundaries, Like ‘No, You May Not Shoot Up A School’

Oh, everybody was sooooo outraged when Megan McArdle took to the pixels of the Daily Beast to suggest that since only banning all guns would be effective in stopping gun violence, and we can’t ban all guns, we should train our children to “gang-rush” men who are shooting at them with semi-automatic weapons, “Let’s roll!”-styley. Everyone screamed and moaned about how Megan McArdle is the worst, stupidest person in the whole darn land, and no one could ever be stupider. But surely you knew National Review Online — and specifically Charlotte Allen — had yet to weigh in?
