Rep. Joe Wilson Screws Up Completely

Monday, August 18th, 2008

Here’s Republican Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina, posting a press release on his website which, unfortunately, is actually a mocking press release sent out earlier by his Democratic opponent, Rob Miller. It has been on the front page for many hours, highlighted by the following first paragraph: “Today, incumbent Congressman Joe Wilson began his election-year bus tour for the status quo. Wilson, who has proudly voted with the Bush administration over 95% of the time, is trying to convince voters that the country is on the right track and simply needs more of the same policies and ideas.” Maybe this is a new sort of double secret irony to which we are not attuned? OH SHIT, he literally just took it down. [Joe Wilson For Congress via Crack The Bell]

New York Times Publishes Reporter’s Terribly Misspelled Notes

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

What is this crap, you ask? Well, as of 8:53 p.m., the New York Times‘ article about Pope Ratzi — the lead story on their website right now — currently says “END” on page three, and is followed by several pages of the reporter’s notes and drafts. Too bad this never happened with any of Judy Miller’s articles. Stupid Pope! [NYT]

You misquoted me. I did NOT say that “Macaca” means “Mohawk”. I said the opposite. And my comment that “he’s from Virginia, from Fairfax County” was to point out that Allen was being smarmy my saying “Welcome to America.” Who wrote this post? And why did you take me out of context?

Our response after the jump.
